An abbey hidden in a canyon

Now that you are comfortable to look around again, you begin to take in the beautiful sights of nature around you. Your rescuer soon turns up a side-road you've never traveled before, prompting you to finally ask him something you probably should have a while ago.

"Where are you... actually taking me?" you ask nervously.

The man makes the horse slow way down so that you and he can have a conversation. "Oh forgive me, we did not have a chance to make proper introductions, did we? You gave me your name, Rosa, but you know nothing about me!"

"I know you got me out of that, erm, situation," you reply. "And that's all that seemed relevant at the time."

He grins slightly in response. "Well, Rosa, allow me to fix that. I am Alex, Sworn Protector of the Maidens of Oanh, tasked with delivering you to the Abbey at Inia. It's only a few hours' ride from here, and don't worry, the most dangerous part of the journey is behind us."

You both chuckle nervously. You appreciate his attempt at levity but you really don't want to be reminded of where you were at the beginning of the day. "Well, that's great!" you come back with a smile. "Whatever awaits me there can't be as bad as where I just left. What can I expect when I get there, actually?"

"Well, Sworn Protectors such as myself are duty-bound to find fair maidens that Oanh deems worthy to join her cause." You aren't sure where he's going with this tangent but you don't say anything and decide to hear him out. The Maidens of Oanh are champions of her cause in this world, spreading her teachings wherever they go. Us Sworn Protectors take a vow of chastity in order to defend Oahn's disciples in their travels-"

"Wait, hold on," you finally interrupt him. "Chastity? Are you taking me to be a nun or something?"

"Oh, heavens no," Alex responds, much to your relief. "Maidens of Oanh are the most perfect beings of sexuality and fertility in the whole world! The term 'Maiden' is a bit misleading. Oanh requires new members to be untouched maidens, but few stay that way for long, as so many of the teachings of Oanh require service of a sexual nature."

You don't ask for more detailed info and Alex doesn't volunteer any, but whatever awaits you doesn't sound like too bad of a deal. You cover the rest of the journey in silence, taking in the beautiful scenery as you travel through the foothills and eventually in between two large mountains.
