A surprisingly cold welcome

You don't even see the abbey until you are nearly at its gates. The path the horse must travel gets progressively more winding and more hilly as you go, obscuring your view of anything more than a few dozen meters in front of you. With one turn you can see nothing but forest and hills and with the next you are suddenly right in front of a massive iron gate with nude female figures adorned all up and down it.

"We have arrived," Alex announces rather redundantly as he gets off the horse. Holding a hand out, he guides you down as well before turning to the gate. On the other side is a small, quiet courtyard with a beautiful fountain in the middle bit nobody to be found.

You expect Alex to call out to someone on the inside but instead someone shows up out of nowhere. Another large man in garb identical to Alex's opens the gate for you and lets the two of you in as he takes the reins of the horse. You follow Alex around the courtyard for a bit until he points to a plain wooden door on the other side of the courtyard.

"You need to go in there," he states rather bluntly. "Sorry that there is little fanfare with this," he adds. "Normally you would be required to undress and bathe in the fountain to wash away your inhibitions, but you arrived already nude."

You stare at him, slightly confused, for a moment. He didn't need to go into that much detail but he did, and you are having a little trouble processing what he just said. Taking a deep breath, you walk over to the small door with as confident a gait as you can muster considering you're still nude.
