An Attempt to Stop Lilith

"Sister Gwenolyn, are you sure you are ready for this?" The Priest said as he looked at the cave. This was one of the biggest secrets in the world, an ancient temple to the Succubus Queen Lilith that had been found and sealed up by the Church a long time ago. "This isn't the safest place in the world."

"I know Father," a young Nun dressed in a habit said as she looked at it. "But if this could stop the forces of Hell from overrunning the world, I will do it."

The Priest sighed as he looked into it. He would have gone himself, but the scriptures said that only a woman of pure heart could make it far enough into the temple to survive long enough to reach the idol. The idol was an ancient artifact of Lilith's power and had been the source of a previous Demon outbreak a long time ago, they hoped that if it could be purified, or destroyed, it might weaken the Succubus Queen enough to break her hold over the infected.

"Alright," he finally said as he took out the scriptures of their sect. They had documented the stories of the temple in case another outbreak required them to enter it and handed it to her. "These will guide you on your way. Be careful, alright?"

"I will," Gwendolyn said as she took the paper and walked into the cave. She walked for a while with the only sound being her footsteps as she did, the only light coming from her flashlight.

She stopped when she saw the first obstacle. The cave was partially flooded, with the water cutting off her path forward. She looked down into the water and saw that it was shallow enough to walk through up to her neck. She took out the paper and read the first paragraph.

"Only she who comes forward purified by water of all earthly ties and body laid bare may pass forward into the sanctum of the Goddess. Daughter, strip thyself of what holds you back."

She read it and looked down at herself. Did that mean she had to go naked?
