Naturally, things don’t ever go according to plan. As soon as you’re back to camp you get roped into helping Cassie, Melora, and Nadia with the wounded. Brianna agrees to meet up later, heading back to make sure her people get settled in. As she leaves, the other girls all laugh among themselves. You give them a confused look, and they laugh even more.

Melora finally explains their amusement. “So, we just can’t let you go anywhere without you coming back with a pretty woman, can we?”

You chuckle and roll your eyes. “She did just save our asses out there, you know.”

Nadia grins. “They say that the strongest bonds are forged in battle…”

Cassie giggles. “And she’s hot!”

You smile. “I can’t deny that, but I literally just met her.”

Nadia laughs. “Because that’s ever been a problem before. Besides, we know that you have a weakness for redheads!”

As she says that, she plays with her own vibrant red hair. Beside you you hear Ferra stifle a giggle. A glance at the golem girl shows her hiding a smile, as she gestures at her red hair.

Sarah laughs as well. “That’s it! Alex lost her red hair, and now Nicholas needs a replacement!”

You roll your eyes again. “Now that’s just mean! You know I love Alex dearly…”

Lilith’s voice fills your mind, amusement obvious.

Ahh, but there’s just enough truth there to sting, hmmm? You know, I might be a redhead too…

You sigh, chuckling. “I’m not going to hear the end of this, am I?”

Melora shakes her head. “Nope. Especially since I know more about the so called ‘Crimson Lady’ than you do. She’s not known for being shy about what she wants.”

Nadia smiles. “And she definitely wants you, my master.”

You shake your head. “Again, we JUST MET. Why do you think that?”

Cassie giggles. “How couldn’t she?”

Melora shrugs. “The dashing, handsome leader of a largely successful rebellion? Who is surrounded by beautiful women who adore him, and who he adores in return? Who she just rescued from certain doom on the battlefield? I don’t need my powers of foresight to see the end of this story, my love.”

She’s right, you know. And I don’t think you’re gonna complain too much.

You chuckle. “Well, I suppose we’ll see. She wants to meet all of you anyway, so I’m sure it’ll come up, knowing how things go.”

Cassie giggles again. “Yup! No hiding it!”

Sarah grins. “If it helps, think of it as recruiting a field general! In bed!”
