Meeting Brianna

That evening, you make your way once again to Addie’s inn. The girls all walk with you, chatting amongst themselves. Rahu has elected to stay behind, saying that he needs more time to prepare for the plan. Ferra is by your side, holding your hand, the golem girl content to be near you as always. As you reach the inn, Addie herself opens the door, grinning at your group.

“It’s nevah a dull moment with ya lot, is it? Come on inside, youah special guest is heah already. Nevah expected ta av the bloody Crimson Lady herself visiting!”

You chuckle, and you hear Brianna’s voice from inside. “I told you, Miss Addie, pleas just call me Brianna!”

Addie grins at you, and waves you inside. Still chuckling, you walk in, followed by the rest of the girls. You find Brianna seated casually at a table, a large tankard of some kind of drink in her hand. Without her armor, she is dressed casually, and you can see her figure fully for the first time. The loose fitting shirt she’s wearing can’t conceal the curves beneath, and she winks at you as you look her over.

“You going to just stare for a while, or come share a drink?”

The girls all laugh, and you chuckle, as everyone finds a seat. You smile at Brianna. “Sorry, just getting a good look at you out of armor is all.”

She laughs, taking a big gulp of her drink. “No need to apologize! I don’t mind at all.”

She looks around at everyone and smiles. “Although, it’s not like you’re hurting for women to look at.”

Alex, plopping down in a seat beside Brianna, giggles and nods. “Trust us, he looks at us plenty. But you’re super hot too!”

Beside her, Cassie is giggling too. “Yeah, it’s not like he’s the only one checking you out!”

Brianna laughs. “Well then! I think I’m going to like you people already!”

Nadia smiles. “Well, some of us are more subdued about it, but the energetic pair have a point, to be sure.”

Melora nods. “Indeed. Cassie and Alex have energy to spare, and as far as I can tell, no filter whatsoever.”

You can add me to that pile, or you could, if I wasn’t stuck in here…

Alex sticks her tongue out at Melora, who simply smiles in return. Meanwhile, Sarah looks to Brianna. “And you can think of me as somewhere in between.”

Brianna nods at the hellhound. “And an impressive warrior besides! Speaking of, what about the quiet one here? I saw her beside you, but she carries no weapons and wears no armor.”

Ferra tilts her head as she regards Brianna. “I protect my master at all times, and it is my duty and an honor to be by his side. I will not fail him.”

You chuckle. “It’s not as grim as Ferra makes it sound. She is technically a golem, but she’s so much more than that. She is my closest companion, and easily the most dangerous fighter I’ve ever known.”

Understatement if I’ve ever heard it. Ferra even scares ME.

Brianna nods. “I see. Well, this is quite the group! And you’re all…with him, I hear?”

Melora smiles. “Him, and each other. We’re a family now.”

The other girls nod in agreement, smiling happily. Brianna seems to think for a moment, and then nods. “I’d love to hear more. There’s a lot of rumors about this group, you understand. And like I said before, I came here for several reasons, not the least of which being that I agree with your fight. But the biggest thing is something I didn’t tell anyone, not even my father. And now I’m more convinced that it’s the correct path.”

She looks you in the eyes, smiling widely.
