About how you'd expect a seemingly mindless monster made of stone to react.

There are a few beats of silence after you speak, making you think that perhaps the rock creature didn't understand you. Perhaps it didn't even hear you, considering the fact that it didn't even have ears that you could see. You were just starting to consider that that may be exactly the case when, slowly, the creature began to move, the sound of grinding stone accompanying the movement of its arms as it lifted them up high above its head. It's stone hands balled into fists and, without warning, it brought its fists down hard into the ground. The impact shook the ground beneath you and left a crater at the point of contact, pelting you with debris and shaking your footing as a result.

A cloud of dust rose up and, suddenly, the rock golem was in motion, lumbering towards you as quickly as its unwieldy stone body could carry it. Obviously, its response to your words was not a good one. It seemed you were going to have to fight this creature, both to survive and to get out of this cavern. It wasn't likely to let you past without a fight, after all.

How you were going to fight it, however, was the real question as all you could do as it charged you with an arm cocked back to throw a massive punch towards you was dodge. You threw yourself to the side as its stone fist flew through the space you had once occupied and its momentum caused it to run past before it could stop and start to turn around. That gave you enough time to roll back up to your feet and turn to face it once more. It was strong, there was no doubt, and quicker than it appeared, but it was still a large and heavy creature so its movements would be unwieldy and awkward. If need be, you could dodge any attack it threw at you, of that you had no doubt.

And you proved that more than once as the creature attacked you again and again, throwing rock fists bigger than your head at you over and over as you dodged and ducked the attacks with all the agility and reflexes your training had gifted you with. It slammed its hands into the floor and walls as it missed you, shaking the cavern again and causing cracks and fissures to open up here and there. It was then that you realized that this could not go on forever. You could dodge for a long while, your endurance one of your strong points, but the thing you were fighting was a creature of stone and, as such, was tireless. It could fight and attack forever while you, though changed due to the Artifact, were still human. You would eventually tire and, when you did, the golem would have you.

Failing that, the very cavern you were in would fail to hold as the stone creature slammed its body into the walls and ground again and again. Either your endurance or the stability of the cavern would give and, in either case, the golem would win and you would either be trapped or dead. You couldn't let that happen. Not when you still had things you had to do.

You had to go on the offensive...but how to attack a creature like this?
