Chapter 40 by telaviv telaviv telaviv telaviv

What's next?

A wild MILF appears!

Things are just getting steamy with a three-way makeout session in the shower when the doorbell rings.

After giving each of your pets a final kiss, you reluctantly separate and get out of the shower. Since it's probably just Annabelle you tie a towel around your waist and head to the door without bothering to dry off properly, let alone getting dressed. Predictably, your face turns red as you open the door to a completely different beautiful woman.

Ashley's mother greets you with an amused look, unphased by your shirtless, glistening appearance. Her soft, curvy figure is squeezed into a snugly-fitting outfit. A high-waisted pair of mom jeans stretches across her wide hips. You catch a glimpse of perfectly tanned golden skin and her belly button peeking out between her jeans and her shirt, a short-sleeved red number with a teardrop-shaped cutout over her generous cleavage. Her round face is framed by two strands of light-brown hair, the rest of which is pulled into a neat ponytail that hangs down to her shoulder blades.

Her patient smile makes you realize you've been looking at her for a while without saying anything. "Hi, uh... Ashley, your mom is here! Do you want to come in, Mrs Hoaka?"

"I do, thanks for offering," she giggles. "And it's good to see you, John."

"Oh, you too Mrs Hoaka." She picks up a small bag that was leaning against your door frame and follows you to the living room, where you tell her to sit on the couch. "I'm just going to get dressed. Can I offer you a drink when I get back?"

"Sure, whatever you have is fine." She smiles and you duck out.

As you exit the living room, the girls enter. Neither are wearing their tails, but both have their ears on. Ashley strokes hers nervously as she comes in. "Hey mom. What are you doing here?"

Tibby moves past her to get a better view. "Hello Mrs Bunny Mom!" she says excitedly as her eyes roam up and down the woman she's only seen in photos until now.

Mrs Hoaka chuckles as she stands up. "I guess that's me. The name's Kathy. And you must be John's other pet, Tibby."

The rest of the conversation becomes inaudible as you reach the bedroom. Not wanting to miss anything, you quickly dry off and put on some pants and a shirt before heading to the kitchen. There's a bottle of apple juice in the fridge, which you place on a tray along with four glasses.

When you get back to the living room Kathy is sitting on the couch again, with her daughter on one side and Tibby on the other. As you set everything down on the table, you notice the conversation has shifted to the warren Ashley built in the corner of the room.

"It's just a nice little retreat where I can destress and be alone with my thoughts for a while," Ashley is just saying.

"It's also a great place to cuddle," Tibby adds informatively.

Ashley's mom just hmms. "Speaking of your thoughts, I'll guess a lot of them are about college, which is why I'm actually here. I got your books in the mail, they must not have had your new address yet when they sent them. Thought I'd drop them off and use the opportunity to see how my little late-bloomer is doing."

Ashley blushes. "Thanks mom. But do you have to call me that?"

She accepts a glass of apple juice and thanks you before turning back to her daughter. "Yes, moms have to embarrass their daughters. But you kow how proud I am of you right? Barely a month ago you turned beet red when I saw you trying on Tibby's cat ears, and here you are wearing your own like they've always been part of you. And actually going to college on top of all that..."

"It's just college mom, I had it planned out years ago."

"It's not just college for you anymore, you're going to face hurdles nobody else has to overcome. I have no doubt you're up for the challenge, but I am glad you have John and a fellow pet to stand by you when you face it."

"We are pretty great aren't we?" Tibby asks.

"That you are," Ashley smiles at her across her mother's bosom.

Mrs Hoaka decides that's a good time to pull you into the conversation. "And you got accepted by into college too, John?"

"That's right," you say. "I haven't gotten my schedule yet but it looks like my classes will start later than Ashley's, which means Tibby won't be alone all morning while we're out. There'll be maybe an hour or two between me leaving and Ashley coming home, and we've already befriended one of the neighbors who can keep her company. Plus there's her friends at FPI, which is just on the other side of the park."

"You can just go back there to hang out?"

Tibby nods happily. "As long as it's not busy that day the caretakers are always glad to see a pet who used to live there pop in. It gives the other girls hope that they'll be adopted soon too. And also I'm too adorable for most people to say no to me."

"A fact I'm sure you use to get into all sorts of trouble," Kathy remarks.

Tibby giggles and glances your way. "Maaaybe. But John usually makes sure I don't take things too far."

You're just glad the cat didn't call you master in front of Ashley's mom. She's pretty accepting of the fact that her daughter turned into a pet out of the blue and immediately moved in with you, but there's no reason to test her limits with details about what happens in the bedroom.

Fortunately Tibby seems to understand how important this is to Ashley, and while she definitely cracks a lot of jokes and drops a couple of allusions none of them are truly inappropriate. Maybe it's because you got all the excitement out of the way in the morning, but the rest of the day is pleasantly uneventful, just hours of relaxed conversation as Kathleen gets to know the pet her daughter shares an owner with and you discuss your plans for the future.

When you slip into bed between your pets at the end of the day, you reflect on everything that has lead up to it. You've gone from a loner who just wanted an apartment to himself to a man with two gorgeous lovers who adore you as much as you adore them, all because you made a heat-of-the-moment decision based on the word 'adventurous' on a tag.

This is easily the best situation your impulsiveness has ever gotten you into, you decide. As you nod off, you wonder how much more it'll change when you start college next week.
