What happened yesterday?

A splash and a flash

“As you know, I had my sister’s wedding yesterday.” Lexi continued.

“Oh yeah, how did it go?” Asked Katie.

“Well, considering Lexi was running around in her birthday suit, I’d say not very well.” Said Jeff flatly.

“Yeah, I should’ve figured…”

“Oooh, ‘not very well’ is an understatement.” Said Lexi with frustration. “You see, I was planning on leaving early so I might help out at wedding…

“Let’s see, keys, phone, tissues for the inevitable flood I’ll be weeping. Yup, I’ve got everything.” Lexi spoke to herself, dressed in a pink dress, as she checked her purse one last time while walking to her car. “Okay, I got everything, s-“

Suddenly a car passed Lexi by, driving in a puddle, completely drenching her dress.

“HEY, SERIOUSLY?!”

“Guess the tissues wouldn’t help you with that?” Joked Jeff.

“….”

“…”

“…anyway, I knew there was a laundromat nearby, so I immediately went there.

Lexi entered the empty laundromat, moaning as she stood in front of the washer. “God, I really don’t want to stay in my underwear.”

Pulling the dress off, she now noticed that her underwear was just as drenched. “God, I really want to stay in my underwear!”
