A relaxed morning

Spencer woke up and headed to the kitchen. That's where he found Geoff and Amy sitting by his dining table and Abigail cooking. Whenever she came over, she insisted on cooking and he never really argued with her. The only bad part was that some of the recipes she cooked were ones she'd taught Kirsten, like the folded berry cream pancakes she's cooking right now.

"Morning Spencer." Abigail says.

"Morning."

"Get a good night's sleep?" Geoff asked.

"Yeah." He lied, having spent the night thinking about his new and past relationship.

"That's good." Geoff looked to his granddaughter. "We were about to get you for breakfast, weren't we?"

"Yeah." Amy replied with a smile.

Abigail then served up breakfast. After eating, the four decided to indulge in the serenity of the woods near Spencer's property. Both Abigail and Geoff found Avonwick to be a nice change of pace from DC, and they'd never miss out on the chance to stroll around the nature city life sorely lacked. The only thing Spencer had to keep in mind is that his in-laws weren't as fit as he was and that he had to keep such strolls brief.

Back home, the group agreed to play some Monopoly. Whilst Spencer and Amy rarely played on their own, her grandparents both thoroughly enjoyed the game and often insisted on playing it at least once. As the game went on, Spencer found himself heading to jail right as his phone rang.

Stepping away, Spencer answered the phone."Hello?"

"Hey Spence." Evelyn answered.

"Hey Evie. How's it going?"

"Good. Is it still all right for me to come around to dinner?"

"Yeah sure. I mean you can come around now if you'd like."

"Sure. I mean if it's not interrupting anything?"

"Only my crippling Monolopy debt."

After a chuckle, Evelyn said "Right. Guess it's only a game."

"I keep telling myself that."

"Okay. Well I'll guess I'll head over now then if that's okay."

"Sure."

"See you then Spence."

"See you."

Spencer let out a sigh, before heading back to his family and giving them the news.
