A poorly worded trip back in time

James thought for a moment. All this power at his fingertips... why, there was no reason not to do a do-over. To go back, to that senior year of high school, everyone turned 18, and to be popular this time... Imagine how great his life would work out if he did that! Being a hot football player with a scholarship, pounding the head cheerleader.

He spoke into his phone. "I wish to go back to when I was in high school; only this time, I'm one of the popular students." The genie's eyes blinked on and off, and a jingle played.

Suddenly, he found himself in a stranger's bathroom, all gold taps and white fittings. James looked down at the phone, which once more had text rolling along the bottom beneath the genie. But distracting him for a second was the fact this was an older model phone now; one of the earlier smartphones. A model from around 2009-2010. "Wish granted. You are now in 2010." James looked up from the phone, at the mirror, and his eyes went wide. Or rather, her eyes.

In the mirror stood a slender young woman in a polka dot dress. But worse, James recognised the face from when he went to high school. He saw on Facebook that now, at 30, she was a doctor. But at 18... this had been what Anna Banks had looked like. Not one of the cheerleaders or the bitchiest of cliques, but a debate club member and honours student, popular because she was nice, sweet, intelligent, and above all, absolutely smoking hot. James could see his new body was stacked.

He looked back at the phone in horror. "OK, I need to change my wish, I need to fix this." The interface flashed red, and a timer appeared, counting down 24 hours. A day between wishes. A day between wishes. OK. He could do this. He could just... live a day as Anna Banks. Hey, what could it hurt to be a hot popular girl for 24 hours. But how would he fill that time?
