A new quirky friend

“Take in that radiating sun, ladies!” A blonde girl with a leopard print bikini expressed to her friends, her hands resting on her hips. “And while you do, remember who treated you to paradise.”

“That’s like what, the tenth, eleventh time you’ve reminded us, April? We get it!” Groaned her raven-haired friend, as she rolled her eyes. “But you’re right. This beach is paradise!”

Sitting upright, the brunette looked to her side. “Quick aside, Tanya, but why is that girl looking at us like we’re a conjoined triplets?”

The girl in question, a slim blonde woman in her early twenties, skipped over towards the trio, wearing her biggest smile on her face and nothing on her body.

“Hey, why aren’t you gals naked?” The girl asked, happily smiling as she lifted her sunglasses, revealing her bright blue eyes.

“Erm, I think the better question is, why are you?” Asked Tanya.

“Because this is a private beach, silly.”

“Aanndd…?”

“You know, private, as in…” she said as she pointed to her womanhood, showing a thin blonde landing strip.

“Thank you for that…” spoke April disgusted. “But private means ‘not for the general public’ and not ‘showing your fanny to anyone’, get it?”

“But the hotel brochure said that nudity was allowed on the beach and cafes?”

“Yeah, allowed, not mandatory!” Said Tanya a little annoyed. “It does seem you’re the only one who actually is naked, though.”

“Oh well, it doesn’t make any difference for me.” She shrugged. She quickly grabbed the brunette’s hand with both of hers. “Name’s Cheri Valentine.”

“Erm, Ruby.”

“Tanya.”

“April.”

“It’s a pleasure meeting you guys!” Cheri walked away from the group, waving the girls goodbye with both hands stretched to the sky. “Guess I’ll see you guys later.”

“..What was that just now?” Said Tanya flabbergasted.

“I know right? What asylum did she escape from?” Laugh April.

“I dunno. She seemed kinda nice.”

“Yeah, until you’ll find her basement filled with others who thought she was nice.” Joked April.

“You know what we should do?” Asked Ruby after awhile. “We should play some volleyball! Like old times sakes.”

“Ruby, dear. We’re only with three people. We can’t exactly make a fair team.” Answered April.

“We could take turns? Play one on one and switch the loser?” Replied Tanya.

“I guess we could give it a shot.”

“This is gonna be fun!”

“This is so boring!” Moaned April, resting her head on her knees. “I spend half the time on the freaking side because I can’t win a single match! Can’t we find another girl who wants to play?”

“Maybe, but I kinda like this perfect winning streak that I have going on.” Grinned Tanya. “So you-“

“Can I join?” Tanya almost jumped out of her skin, startled at the sudden sight of Cheri behind her. “Then no one has to sit on the side.”
