Hard spike

The three looked at one another. "Should we?" April asked the others.

"Well, we do need another player." Tanya said.

"Ever played volleyball before?" Ruby asked as she handed Cheri the ball.

"A few times when I was younger, but I know how to play the game." Cheri said as she took the ball. "Whose team am I on?"

"Mine, I guess." Ruby suggested as the four stood with two women on each side of the net.

"I gotta bad feeling about this..." April muttered as she watched Cheri toss the ball into the air.

Cheri smiled as she patiently waited for the ball to come down, swinging her hand forward and making contact with the ball...

Which shot off like a rocket and tore through the net, causing Tanya and April to yell in alarm as they dropped to the sand as the ball soared through the air.

"Ready to get your butt kicked, Jack?!" A buff brunette woman in a black wetsuit playfully challenged her friend as she finished waxing her surfboard.

"Oh, only one of us is getting their chubby bubble butt kicked out in those waves, Rachel!" Another buff woman with red hair teased as she stood up her board in the sand.

Jack and Rachel laughed as they high-fived the other, standing their boards up in the sand. Their laughter immediately stopped as a volleyball came flying past them, crashing through their boards and snapping them in half like twigs before finally losing momentum and falling to the sand.

"OUR BOARDS!" Rachel exclaimed as she picked up the top half of her surfboard. "Who the hell did this?!"

Jack gaped at the broken boards before finally seeing the volleyball on the ground. She slowly turned her head towards the volleyball net, her eyes narrowing as a low growl escaped her lips.

April, Tanya, and Ruby were stunned, the former two slowly getting to their feet before all three turned to the smiling Cheri.

"Did Ruby and I win?" Cheri asked innocently.
