A moment's reprieve

As the group entered the library together, they quickly checked the corners and did a sweep of the building to make sure it was empty, and the place didn't have any Towerlings inside it.

Elliot was looking through the building's upper floors, and came across a set of shredded clothes, and the floor beneath it was covered cum, and a pair of glasses on the side.

"...Some poor librarian didn't get out of the Tower's area in time.", Elliot said.

She double checked the area to make sure the building was clean, but whatever Towerling was here, is long gone.

Elliot went back to meet up with Captain Kirie and the rest of the team, and Kirie was looking over a map. Kirie spoke up, and said, "We've put both Frost and Alice inside a room without any windows to rest. It's just until the venom wears off on the two of them, so we can get ready to move again."

Lizette, responded with, "There's no certainty that what happened to Alice will wear off."

"Well, were going to give her two hours regardless to see if it can. In the mean time, we're staying low profile in here. We aren't going to make any serious noise, or do anything to attract the Towerlings here. This building is defensible, but I'd rather we don't have to fire a bullet while were here" Kirie said.

"Instead, I've found an entrance into the tower. The sewer system leads into the area in the tower, and I'd bet there's an underground entrance we can reach from here. This building has an entrance into the sewers, as Maintenance workers got into them from here."

"But we need to make sure the path is clear enough to consider it. So I need four of you to take a recon mission there to make sure it's not a **** trap. And whoever goes, you'll only have 4 hours, as we can't stay in this location long. So you'll have to find out how clean the path is, and then get back as fast as possible. It's 2030 now, be back by 0030 or else we may have to leave without you."

After a moment's deliberation, Elliot, Eve, Lizette, and Lina volunteered to go.

Before she departed, Elliot gave her sniper rifle to Felicia, and Felicia gave the shotgun and some spare pistol ammo.

"Good luck down there ladies." Felicia said.

Lizette spoke, "We'll be back before you know it."

With that said, the four person team took the maintenance entrance into the sewers.
