A little of both...

As Amilia watched the men making their meal, she couldn't help but salivate at everything they had. Chicken, ribs, burgers, sausages, roasted corn, baked beans...

She had to get a bite!

The trouble was, how was she going to grab some of that? She couldn't just walk up to them. And given her new aroma, she would be smelt long before she was seen by the two men. There had to be a sneaky way.

Unfortunately, Amilia was drawing a blank as she was **** to watch the men chow down on their meal. She whimpered as they enjoyed almost every last bite for the next half hour before turning in for the night, heading into their RV.

Fortunately, Amilia saw that the two men were too drunk or too tired to bring any of the leftovers inside. A smile came to her face. Jackpot!

After waiting for the lights in the RV to turn off before making her move, slinking under the light of the dying fire as she made her way towards the table. All that remained was a bowl of beans, a burnt corn cob, and a half eaten rack of ribs.

But Amilia didn't care.

The woman hungrily dove into the food, not even bothering to use any of the silverware as she wolfed down her first meal today like it was her last. She had finished the corn cob and tossed it into the fire pit before scarfing down the baked beans, licking the bowl clean as she finished. She sat the bowl back down as she dug into the ribs, throwing the bones into the bowl as she stripped the meat off the bone.

However, one bone missed the bowl completely and bounced off the table, landing nearby the sleeping German Shepard that Amilia had missed in her crazed hunger. The dog's ear twitched as it stirred, taking a sniff as it opened its eyes.

Amilia sighed blissfully. That was good. So good in fact, her stomach was growling for seconds.

"Wait, that's not my stomach..." Amilia said to herself, her eyes widening as she finally connected the dots. Slowly getting up from the table and turning around, the woman saw the dog growling at her defensively.

"N-nice Doggy." Amilia stammered as she backed away slowly. "Good Doggy."

The dog soon barked loudly as it bounded forward, causing Amilia to scream as she shouted, "Bad dog! Bad dog!"

The young woman ran around the camp, the dog chasing her as they knocked over chairs and tables before Amilia made the decision to run back into the woods, the dog on her tail. However, her hair got tangled in a branch for a few seconds before she yanked it hard enough to yank out a small chunk. Her eyes going wide...

"AUUGHHHOOOOOOWWW!"

The men bolted awake in their respective bunks, looking at each other in shock.

"Did you hear that, Mark?" The younger man asked.

"Yeah, I heard it, Steve." The older man replied.

Back with Amilia, the woman was desperately trying to escape the dog in hot pursuit. However, the woman tripped on a tree root and down a hill, tumbling down until she landed into a puddle of mud. The young woman spat and sputtered as she shook the mud off herself...

Just as the dog finally caught up to her. Amilia shivered a bit as she watched the dog approach, gulping as she wondered if this was all a big mistake. However, the dog suddenly stopped growling as it stood back up straight, letting out a fearful whimper as it ran away with it's tail between it's legs. Amilia was confused at why the dog gave up like that...

Until she looked down, a look of terror on her own face.

"Look at all this, Mark!" Steve said as he looked around at the turned over tables and chairs. Steve then noticed a BBQ sauce hand print on the table before looking back up and asking, "Did someone do this on purpose?"

Mark was looking down at the sets of footprints running around the camp with his flashlight, some prints looking slightly bigger than normal human prints. Looking up, he noticed a chunk of hair attached to one of the nearby branches. Taking it into his hands, the man sniffed it... Only to recoil in disgust from the awful smell.

At that precise moment, the German shepard came bounding back into the campsite.

"Princess!" Steve called out as he rushed over to his frightened dog, hugging her tightly. "What's wrong, Girl?"

As if to answer his question, an ear shattering screech cried out in the night from the direction the dog had ran from.

"What the hell was that?" Steve asked, "It sounded almost human."

Mark blinked for a bit, looking down at the footprints in the dirt before looking back at the clump of smelly hair in his hand. The man put two and two together as a wide smile came to his face.

"Yes!" Mark cried out, laughing like crazy. Turning to his confused brother, the man asked, "Steve! Do you know what we've got here?!"

"Uh..."

"Think, you simpleton!" Mark shouted, "The human-like footprints. The wild screeching and howling. The human-like handprints. The fur that smells like a a wet dog that got sprayed by a skunk! What does that equate to you?"

"Uh..."

"I'll tell you what it equates to me!" Mark said gleefully, "Skookum! Yeti! Yowie! The Wildman! Sasquatch!"

At his brother's confused stare, Mark groaned and snapped, "Bigfoot, you moron!"

"Bigfoot?" Steve asked, raising an eyebrow. "You still believe those fairy tales?"

"A fairy tale that has over a hundred reported sightings each year?" Mark asked smugly. "Fortunately, I packed my tranquilizer darts for the trip. By this time tomorrow, we are going to be rich!"

"Oh brother..." Steve groaned, not believing this nonsense.

For the second time tonight, Amilia found herself in the pond as she tried to wash herself. Thankfully, the water was warmer now due to the sun from earlier. The only difference this time was that she successfully washed the mud off of her... But now she stank even worse after her second run in with a skunk!

And it was only day one!

"Okay, so day one was a disaster." Amilia said to herself as she made her way out of the pond, trying to remain positive. "It's only day one. Things will probably get better as time goes on."

Deciding to use a bush as a makeshift shelter, Amilia crawled under it and closed her eyes with a yawn. "Why, I'll bet things will be better by tomorrow morning." She said as she slowly drifted off to sleep.
