A little night music and drinks

The pre-game carousing continued on for the next hour as the sun slowly set. They meandered about from room to room casually changing partners and groups. They never tired physically or grew bored with the sex, but two of their three urges were not being met: Drinking blood and spreading the gift.

As they rutted about Pete wondered aloud what they wished to do that night. It was suggested by JJ to invite people she knew over to Pete and Hannah's house. Pete felt that they could mix things up more than that. Becky wanted to roam the streets and just go after people on the street. Pete, while appreciating the impulsiveness of youth, shot that down as an unnecessary risk -- at least for now.

It was something from their old lives that made the choice easy. Pete's phone chimed reminding him that he had an anniversary date scheduled for that evening. They agreed that this would be a fun adventure. "Oh, and happy anniversary, babe!" Pete said to his wife while pounding his daughter from behind. Hannah heard her husband, but could not respond as her tongue was deeply exploring their new professor friend.

They cleaned themselves up and made their way to The Green Note. It was a family-owned piano bar. pleasant but casual . It's not made for those looking to get drunk or rowdy. Mature and artistic entertainment was the order of the day. Pete called in to make sure there would be enough room for all six, as it was a fairly small venue. Ursula, the co-owner with her husband, explained that it would be fine (keeping from saying "It's dead").

Ursula greeted the group of six as they walked in the door. She was a slightly older woman, but it was easy to tell she was a looker in her younger days. Her husband, Anthony, was in his usual place going from table to the bar to the table making sure both his guests and staff had no problems. A large, boisterous man, he could be heard humming along with the piano being played on the small stage. Walking them to their table was the pair's daughter, Sophia. The sextet managed to maintain their cover despite how beautiful she was. Sophia was taking a gap year to save money for art school next year. Despite her appearance, she was a shy person more interesting in expressing herself in art than focusing on appearances. She made one concession on that front, allowing her impressive cleavage to be on display. But this was solely for the tips towards tuition. The final employee was Dominic, the son of a friend of a friend of Anthony's from the Old Country. He didn't speak much English, but he was there for the opportunities it provided. He was playing competently if not amazingly at the piano. The other smattering of guests appreciated the atmosphere Dominic's playing gave the place, but they were more interested in conversing in their separate groups.In their human lives some of the vampires would gigglingly wonder if Sophia and Dom were an item as rumored, and if so what Sophia's parents felt about it.

As Sophia sat everyone down and got their drink orders, she looked them over intensely. The six vamps were doing a very credible job of acting like their former human selves. Most other people wouldn't think much of them. Yet Sophia sensed something off about the whole thing. Her job involved picking up on the non-verbal clues her customers gave. Not recognizing the slight turn to indicate they want the check or not calming down someone who looks like they are ready to complain affects tips. These people seemed a bit touchy-feely considering their various relationships. What they wore felt a bit out of sorts: An extra button unbuttoned or a skirt riding a little too high for an adult. Overall they exuded a strange energy. She couldn't put her finger on it. She wasn't sure if she was going to be able to shake it off.
