A day of walking

A grueling day of walking along dusty, farm roads unfurls ahead of you. Your compatriots quickly tire of having to slow their horses to allow you to keep up. You watch them ahead of you, occaisionally directing glares in your direction at the inconvenience before Selile leans in to each one, talking to them conspiratorially out of the range of your hearing. You watch each of them turn back, their looks of anger turning to derisive humor at your predicament, appraising glances of your body, and smirks you can't quite read.

Your energy wanes as you trudge onwards after your party. You get the impression that your master may have cast a heal spell or two on you to keep you moving throughout the day but any remnants of the magical healing has long since worn off as you drag your feet into the impromptu camp for the night. So slow that they have already set the camp up without you.

A hearty cheer rises from your compatriots, each of them with smirking faces, their eyes all over your sweat drenched body as you throw down the saddlebags. Your perky chest heaving as you collapse onto the grass.

You look up at your master looking for any sign of praise after all the effort you put in. The large equine eyes look down at you, a hint of humor in them. "Whatever your party members ask you or tell you to do you will agree to."

"Why?" you ask back mentally, unable to muster up any energy to truly argue.

"Because I said so." The voice commands simply as the large beast retreats from your field of view and towards the nearby creek, "and you will still need to clean my hooves once you have recovered. this road is so rocky."

Couldn't he just do that himself in the creek, heck he could probably do it with magic. You think to yourself as a Selile shaped shadow falls over your body. "Come" she says cheerily, offering a hand to you. "Time to do the building of the team exercises together."
