A crowd

Going to the town center, where Players normally started at, you could hear a crowd before you could see it.

Sounds like the merchants had already gathered to sell useless junk to the ignorant noobs.

Before you emerge into sight, you send the steel pipe into your inventory. No need to piss people off more than needed with a large crowd there!

All the different types you expected were on clear display using you own mental labels for them in most cases.

There were the Whales: Players who paid to start at higher levels. (Standard label for them)

The Trendies: who followed the fades when it came to all things. They arrive in large numbers when something popular, and vanish just as quickly when something else pops up.

The Show-offs: They come only to flaunt their greatness, and they achieve that not by their deeds, but with connections, money and other such things

The Boosters: High level player who would Party up with a Noob and let them leech levels off their kills.

The Perverts: Already they were eyeing up NPCs for some ****. They are the reason underaged NPCs (and many animals) are all non-explicit!

The **** Hobos: They were already thinking about how to **** as many NPCs and even other Players as much as they could.

The PKers: Mostly a subsection of Muder Hobo, but not entirely. These people want to kill other Players. For some it is a personal grudge, and you could spott some with that hate in their eyes looking at others.

The Curious: New Players who joined just to see how things were. They would mostly vanish soon, leaving their Avatars to fend for themselves with only low levels.

The Refugees: It was known that Players come from elsewhere. These ones come here not so much for leveling and fighting, but as an escape. Some don’t talk about certain things. Others seem ecstatic to just be able to walk around or eat normal food. Eventually the **** and perversity of the place gets to them and most move on to somewhere else.

The Socials: They are here for social reasons, and for them it’s all about hanging out and having fun. They are in it for the kicks, not the levels.

The Bored: They are only here to find a way to pass the time and hopefully find something they can enjoy.

Considering all those groups, only some were safe to recruit from.
