A brand new virus

The pain hit him like a brick and information flooded his mind.

The Plinket virus, as it was called, spread at the same rate as the common cold. And like the cold, it has yet to be eradicated. The current rate of newborns in the world is 7 to 1 in favor of females and growing, eventually settling at 16 to one if everything goes right.

The governments in tyrannical, dictatorial, or totalitarian countries set in place laws that limited female freedoms while they could. Countries with a more democratic or socialist tendencies tried, but realistically do nothing but try to get people to mask up to slow the spread of the virus. There had been talk through the years of repealing the 19th amendment in America, but women’s groups kept blocking congress from bringing it to the house.

I’ll probably have to do something about that.
