You can see the importance of taking out Maya's family, but there are other things to consider. You, Derek and Mick need to bond further as brothers-in-damnation, and you do worry that Derek seems to resent Mick accompanying him, which could result in mistakes on what should be an easy bit of "fuck'n'covert".

"Sorry, but I've got another booking," you say. "Derek and Mick wanted me on board for hitting Derek's house."

Maya nods at that. "Sounds fun. And honestly, those two need someone else there to... balance things out." She shrugs. "Used to be me, and occasionally Amanda, which was... stressful for both us." Maya shakes her head and chuckles. "They really are a couple a needy bitches."

"Well, I'll do what I can," you say, heading off. It doesn't take you long to hunt down Mick and Derek. "Thought it over, and I'll take you up on your offer," you state.

"Excellent," says Mick. "We are now like the Three Caballeros!"

You blink at that. "Don't you mean the Three Musketeers?"

"Oh, no," he says positively, his red eyes staring at you frankly. "The Three Musketeers are all supporting characters for one other character, D'Artagnan, and their story is ultimately dominated by disappointment, treachery and ****. In contrast, Donald Duck, Jose Carioca, and Panchito Pistoles are a union of equals whose association spreads joy and merriment." You stare at him blankly for a moment. "Look, in conclusion, people need to read Dumas and watch old Disney cartoons."

"You're still going to make people watch Fantasia, aren't you?" says Derek with a sigh.

"Yep. Unless the Ave Maria bit makes us explode," replies Mick. "Which, to be fair, it very well might."

As you follow them out the deck, you glance at Derek. "Was he al--?"

"Yes," says Derek quietly.
