Chapter 21 by SnoopWorg SnoopWorg

Do you find anything at home?

A blinking light in the bedroom

When you arrive home, the lights are off downstairs so you assume your wife has already went to bed. You look at the time and although it's later than you intended to be home, it seems that your wife had an early night. You don't think much of it until you reach the bedroom.

The hall light is still burning, so it's easy to climb the stairs, you just have to try to be quiet. You enter your darkened bedroom and find your wife already asleep, just like last night, although it's not unusual for your wife to go to bed before you if she's tired and you want to relax a little longer in front of the TV. But you don't like it if she's going to bed angry with you, and even this small separation before Friday makes you feel nervous.

Since you're tired from working hard to catch up on your paperwork from your boss, and then researching places to take Kali, you put any concerns about Ariana out of your mind while you get ready for bed too. You're being as quiet as possible while moving around in relative darkness, but perhaps because it's so dark, you notice a light blinking over by your wife's side of the bed.

You get a little closer to the light and realize its your wife's phone.

{if Trust <= 80}You remember the messages that you read previously on your wife's phone when she was talking to Matt, and wonder if she had been talking to him again while you were out working late. You glance between the phone and your sleeping wife, and listen to her deep breathing to tell you that she's definitely out completely, so she might never notice you checking her messages again.

You've already done it once, so it doesn't seem like such a grievous offence this time, though you still do feel some guilt about violating her trust again. But you remember what you read in the messages and how your best friend was actively trying to set up a second sex date with your wife. That's the kind of thing you want to know about if its happening behind your back.

But you're also reminded of the conversation you had with your wife afterwards, and how she was just nervous about how expensive the dress was and how it would make her look. You definitely blew the situation out of proportion in your head. So maybe you should just trust your wife and not look at the messages this time.

{else}You remember the last opportunity that you had to check your wife's text messages. You chose not to check the messages and trust her by just asking her upfront what the problem was about the dress. It worked out okay, although your wife got mad at you for almost getting her dress dirty, but those problems didn't stem from you checking her messages. You just got too handsy when you got excited.

But you wouldn't have known about the dress at all if Matt hadn't boasted about it in a text message to you. What could you be missing this time if you don't check her messages? Of course, she might not have been talking to Matt at all. Maybe she was talking to one of her girl friends. Problem is, if you don't check her phone, you might never know.

Guilt twists in your stomach as you consider for a second time whether or not to check your wife's messages. You want to trust her, but you also want to know what's being said when you're not around. You glance over at your wife, confirming that she's in a deep sleep, so she'll probably never notice if you check her messages. All that matters is whether you can live with yourself afterwards.{endif}

Do you want to check her messages?
