A bit perplexed

"Uh... Hyp...nosis?" She asked, a bit confused about why he was asking. But she answered his question regardless.

"Well, I've never been hypnotized. I kinda thought that stuff wasn't real, right?" She half-asked.

Kaito smiled at her politely.

"I suppose I can see how you would think so. I'm assuming what you've seen of it is on TV, right?" He asked.

Ann nodded.

"Mhm! On like, sitcoms and stuff. Usually they make people do pretty funny stuff. I know there are stage hypnotists too. I always kinda thought they just had like, paid actors come up on stage."

"Hm. Well, what if I told you hypnosis was real? I realize it may be hard to believe, but at the same time, I'm sure you're aware of those Phantom Thieves causing a stir. It doesn't seem to be the same, but they seem to have some kind of ability to change a person's mindset. Their method seems a bit more... forceful than hypnosis, however. Hypnosis requires a little more tact, and can't be brute ****."

He could see Ann beginning to think more deeply.

"Yeah. I guess what they do seems kinda similar to what I've seen. Though, the Phantom Thieves just make bad people change their ways. With hypnosis I've only ever seen people dance around or act like animals." Ann shrugged. "Why are you asking me all this, anyway?"

"Well, I am a general therapist, but my speciality is Hypnotherapy. I use hypnosis to dive deep into people's psyche, and slowly help them overcome their issues. It can be things like fears, trauma, things like that. I asked because it's generally an easier method to helping people than just talking things through." He confirmed. "I was just trying to gauge if you might be interested in that option."
