A bit down the road from the mansion

You glide down and land softly in the country road. You then fold your wings away and button up your coat, taking care to brush of the dirt on your clothes with some magic. You then walk down the road, heading for the mansion. As you near the gate you see a middle-aged man wearing a simple leather jerkin and a spear, along with a simple leather cap on his head. He hasn´t seen you yet, so you change your walking to appear more tired.

He just sees a young man walking tiredly up the road to the mansion. His clothes are fine, but far from extravagant. "Are you here to see the Duke?" He asks tiredly.
You nod shortly. "Yes, I am. Can you let me in? I´ve been walking all day and I really need to sleep in a bed."

The guard opens the small gate and you walk in onto the courtyard. There´s hardly anyone awake at this hour so no-ones noticed your arrival. You could use this to perhaps sneak around the mansion and use your magic on its inhabitants. Or maybe try more of a challenge and notify them of your arrival and take a slower but more personal approach to corrupting them...
