Sneak around and find good people to target...
You will yourself into smoke and glide up and around the house, checking in the windows to see which rooms are occupied. Most of the rooms are unoccupied, but there are a few promising ones. On the bottom floor there appears to be the servants quarters, filled with weak minds and repressed feelings, easy to exploit. Upstairs there´s the Duke and his wife and family. You could use your magic to gaze into their dreams and find out what makes them tick...
You rematerialize on the rooftop and ponder the choice in front of you. Use the servants to take over? It would be bloody but quick. Corrupt the nobles? It would take longer but you were ordered to do so...
