A Magical Place

Aaralon nodded, "Yes, of course. The Whispering Woods are an infamous haven for all sorts of creatures, I'm no expert but I dare say they're more active at night."

"Not just mundane creatures," Camila said with a smile, "But in the dark heart of the woods you might even chance on a demon." She tapped her map, roughly indicating a dense patch of dense green near the centre of the sketched woods. "Do you know anything about demons?" Her eyes twinkled mischievously.

Shit. Did she know? His experimental summonings were certainly enough to get him thrown out of the school. That if he was lucky. If he was unlucky he would be locked up for life.

And shit. He was supposed to be watching his thoughts. Aaralon chided himself for being so careless - yet again. Was Camila trying to bait him, to trick him into thinking about things and catch him in the act? Perhaps she was just playing with him. Punishing him. Then again; it was unlikely she could read his mind and very unlikely she could read his mind all the time. There was no reason to suppose she knew anything about his illicit activities.

"Aaralon?" Camila had stood up and was in the process of stretching out a yawn. Showing off her body again, raising her arms above her head and thrusting out her full chest. It was easy to believe she was playing with him. "Aaralon? Are you still with us?"

"Demons?" he had to say something quickly, he had been lost in thought too long, "I know the basics - as taught by the College. Demons are dangerous. They are powerful and expert at corrupting you, expert at tricking you and expert and using you. We're taught to stay clear of demons at all cost."

"And do you agree with what the College teaches about demons?" Camila had stopped stretching but Aaralon still couldn't decide whether she was playing with him or just coincidently on a dangerous subject for him.
