A Hidden Lake

The two travelers travel deeper into the cave system until the light of the cave is barely visible. At which point Robert takes out a torch, lights it and hands it to Brandy. Warning her as he does, “Watch your step, it gets slippery in here.”

Brandy takes the torch, but asks “Why is it slippery in here? I thought we came in here to escape the rain.”

“Ah, but that isn’t from the rain.”

“Ok, what is it from?”

Smiling, Robert simply tells Brandy. “I don’t want to ruin the surprise.”

Thankfully, brandy doesn’t have to wait much longer, because after a few minuets of walking through the cave, and squeezing through a tight space, the two of them reach their destination.

“Well, what do you think?”

For a moment, Brandy is speechless. Before her is a large underground lake. She kneels down and passes her hand through the water and is surprised at how clear it is. “How did you find this place?”

Laughing, Robert puts the torch into a nock in the wall before answering. “I wish I could take credit for this. But I was shown this place years ago.”

“Who showed it to you?”

“Oh, I forget, it was a long time ago.”

Robert lies 2d6+8 vs Brandy 2d6+3, 12 v 10. Brandy believes the Lie, but barely. She does think he is hiding something though.

Brandy stands up, shaking the water off of her hand. “I see…” She looks around and sees signs of others being here. “Do you come here often?”

“Oh, I wouldn’t call it ‘often’.” He walks over to the water’s edge. “But it is a nice place to lay low or get out of the weather.” Robert then starts taking off his boots, and then his trousers.

“What are you doing?”

“What does it look like I am doing? I am going to take a swim.” Now mostly undressed, Robert gives Brandy a playful smile. “You should join me, the water is surprisingly warm.”

Brandy turns around to avoid looking at Robert as he continues to undress, and to hide her blushing face. “Aren’t we supposed to be drying off?”

Brandy hears Robert’s footsteps and realizes that he has moved behind her. “Our cloths will dry much quicker if we take them off and lay them out.” He is now close enough that Brandy can feel Robert’s breath on the back of her neck. “Besides, the water feels great.”

Robert(minor edge): 2d6+4(social combat value)+4(social skill): [5,5,3]10+8=18

Brandy: 2d6+4(social combat value)+1(skill): [5,4]9+5=14

Robert wins by 4. His seduction of Brandy progresses.

Brandy feels Robert’s hands on her back and a small shiver runs down her spine. Quietly, she replies. “I guess there is no harm in a quick dip…”

Smiling, Robert starts to help Brandy undress. He doesn’t rush though, taking his time and enjoying the moment. After all, there is no reason to hurry. “How about you sit down.”

Her heart pounding in her chest now, Brandy nods wordlessly in reply as she follows Robert’s suggestion, letting him guide her to the ground.

Now sitting on the ground, Brandy waits wordlessly and Robert starts to take off her armor, and then her cloths. With each peace taken off Brandy feels her heart start to beat faster as emotions she has never experienced before flood her mind and body.

When Robert has finished taking off most of her clothing, she lies on the ground in front of him, illuminated by the light of their torches. In the low light she can’t make out his expression, but when he speaks she forgets how to breath for a moment.

“You’re beautiful…”
