Catherine said while motivating Joseph on the treadmill, swinging her tits gently as she squeezed them with her arms.

In the three years that Joseph spent in Catnya, he had tried to look for a girl who could pique his interest but he didn't want any random girl or stupidly stunning beauty, he wanted someone special who would spike his fancy, even if they weren't the best in any or all categories. This meant that as he became known and rejected people, he started to gain a bad reputation, so when he finally came across the person he might consider "The one", Joseph tried everything he could to get her to fall for him. To his credit, Joseph made her blush and faun back at him, the only problem was that HE didn't meet the requirements and their fresh relationships didn't inspire trust, especially when girls wouldn't stop coming to him. Catherine was often like a pouting anime girl, turning her head and ignoring Joseph for various amounts of time, leaving Joseph to woo her back and increase her affection towards him.

For the most part, the two spend their time working out to make Joseph up to scratch because "I don't date weak men", but also go out regularly on dates and get gifts for each other, the only thing they don't do is fuck, much to Joseph's disappointment. However, this happy go-getter life would come to an abrupt stop when the conservative beastmen families who stuck to furrier complexions went into a civil war with modern-type beastmen over breeding rights. The argument was made that since the conservative beastmen had "superior" bodies, usually guiding their strong points to senses, fur, and strength, the conservatives "needed" to bolster the genes of beastmen, taking away the rights of reproduction from beastmen. Such an idea was psychotic and the conservatives shouldn't have had the ability to make a larger conflict, even if they got all their people together. But because conservatives had connections to influential figures and important people, the conservatives were able to surprise the world by taking hold of the guns and missiles while also retaining most of the military who simply followed their superiors. They used the military to suppress the idiots and held the nukes over the heads of the people who could actually threaten them. The only way beastmen could resist and fight back was as ninja rebels, completing objectives and helping the hacking teams when they could, even if that meant freeing them from enemy control. It was utter chaos hidden under the veil of the ever-romantic that Joseph is, he got right in the middle of the conflicts and tried to advocate for peace and love. But his tune quickly changed when Catherine was hospitalised and in a coma after saving Joseph from a random act of aggression that was secretly manipulated by the conservatives. With a bleeding gasp of air and an admittance of love, Joseph steeled himself and took the fight right where it mattered, acting like the player who did all the side quests 5 times over for 30 different games then took the route the game didn't even make possible. He was like a walking tidal wave by precisely shooting all the enemies that came after him, dodging and blocking all attacks like that 1 player who can press the time event when trying to go to the nether portal to escape the Wither Storm in the first chapter of Minecraft Story Mode.

In a way that non-gamers will understand, he walked through the most heavily defended areas to get to the enemy stronghold, he then killed them all and gave out their shit. When nukes were threatened, Joseph disappeared thanks to the rebels, breaking into a missile site and launching a rocket while everyone used their 1 chance to get into the main and auxiliary servers, reactivating the old automatic missile response systems with updated deployment strategy information. At the cost of nuclear fallout, all the missiles were emptied out in mostly uninhabited locations or the elite cities where conservative beastmen gathered to keep out the "riff-raff". There were obviously casualties and a lot of people who were affected later due to radiation storms, but the people were now free from the threat of nukes and could wage open wars against elitist scum. As for Joseph, people were torn between calling him a hero or a monster, weighing his grief and accomplishments against the loss of life. Those who condoned what he did remained silent while those who chastised his actions openly denounced him, gaining considerable traction but ultimately less than the ones who kept their mouth shut. It was only when Gaia-Nya talked through nature to talk shit about Joseph in an "I'm better than you so worship me" tone so she could crap on humans and why she didn't create them that Joseph finally had enough haters to want him gone. The only thing that kept them going against him was the danger he posed and because the princess of the conservatives declared their surrender to Joseph, getting protected from a mob by Joseph who accepted it despite clearly looking like he had been crying for days, uplifting them to their feet and walking off.
