Anneke is truly lost now. None of the trees look familiar. She falls to her knees, desperate. All she wants is to safely return home to The Glade, and that seems like a more and more remote possibility. Everything started out so well…

But she still has her virtue. No creature has touched her precious treasure. But all she can think about is doing that herself. She needs to clear her head more than anything. Then maybe she’ll be able to find her way.

Anneke looks around for a safe, more secluded place where she hopes she won’t draw attention to her wantonness.
