16. Nothing

Even as vulnerable as she is, nothing molests Lygia as she sleeps.

When the sunlight breaks through the trees, Lygia awakes. Rested, she takes a look at her side. What seemed like a brutal gash at night had closed up to something much more manageable as she tranced. Shirtless but at least equipped, Lygia tucks the spyglass into her pack and takes off into the morning.
