[P] Try to find my sword in the sitting room - Knowledge (DC 12): 16

[GM] Corinna bolts down the stairs and into the sitting room where the vines had thrown her sword earlier. The ghosts are on her tail as she grabs the shortsword from the ground where it was thrown and faces off against them.

The ghosts swirl around her, this time with intent to harm instead of please. The duke swings first [Attack: 17 vs 9; Block: 12; -1 health] and Corinna feels his hand pass right through her heart. She feels something drain away. One of the women strikes next [16 vs 9; block 19; -1 health] and it feels like claws rake her very insides. The second woman swings [15 vs 1+2; no block; -4 health] and lands a brutal blow. Corinna stumbles as she feels the last of her vitality drain from her as the woman squeezes her heart. The tingle inside her makes her feel like all her body’s signals go haywire. As she squeezes, the two other men attack, taking advantage of her vulnerability. [5 vs 11. 2 vs 9] Corinna is able to break free of the woman draining her and stumble backwards and away from the last two attacks.
