Chapter 4

"What you seek is up the stairs."
"What?"
Was all I could say as the woman apologized over her **** gift seeing or something like that.
For these little outcloves of vampires are those called thin-bloods or weak-bloods, as they are vampires that have one of many different problems that range from only getting one vampiric power, not being able to drink blood, or their personalities making them a huge disappointment to their sires.
"So, Miss Rosa. "May I ask which one you are?" I asked the woman who just sighed as she told me that she has only the power of foresight and nothing else, which seemed to be a major problem with her sire.
One by one, Rosa begins pointing to the others as she explains their story. "E over there only has a tougher body; Copper is just a flat-out idiot who until very recently just thought he was still high; Julies stutters so much that his sire threw him out right in front of an angry mob; and the person who was once our leader, Lily..." Rosa just sighs, and I can tell that maybe I shouldn't talk to her about it anymore, but the second I see a smile on her face, I realize that maybe Lily was a lot more problematic than diplomatic.
Pulling out the real Rolex from the guy earlier, I see that I should have more than enough time to do everything, as I no longer have a life span, and everything could just go fuck itself if I don't feel like doing it.
But I made a promise with Mercurio, and like Jake said, if I play my cards right, I don't want my eternal life to get any more troublesome by breaking promises. And I'm also really curious to see what Mercurio can possibly help me with or give me for helping him out.
First things first, however, I talked with all the other thin-bloods, as I wanted to know more about the people that are considered outcasts of vampire kind, and all I got out of it was understanding Rosa was being very honest with me.
Although it was fun selling a pack of blood to the idiot and a common wooden stake that I'm almost certain will break on anything he might use it with. Also, as messed up as it was, I cannot WAIT! For the day I see the news about some idiot trying to kill the president and calling him the head vampire.
I have no problems telling the idiot that and taking all his money, as he's an idiot, and since we all live forever, why not have some fun with it where I can?
E was the next worthwhile person to talk with besides Rosa, as he told me about Lily, the so-called leader of this little group, along with being the lover of E, who wants to know where she went. "We like had a fight about how she was fine with those thugs setting up shop in our territory, as I wanted them gone, but she wanted them to stay. If you can find her and let her know that I'm sorry for everything I've said... and tell her that I wish her the best, but I'm missing me home country and ma family."
Without saying anything else, E just left. Where he was going I have no clue, as, from what they said, the only home for them has to be the house above this fire escape area.
But whatever, it's not my life, and I don't really care what he does, but now I've got plans to meet up with a new vampire that could possibly give me some pointers along with help me learn more about my new life... and hopefully they look as hot as Rosa.
Going up the stairs, I meet a very buff man, and after a quick look around, I realize this was a **** house, and all I had to do to go inside was flash some cash towards the giant buff man, and he let me pass, as it was a couple hundred bucks.
Everything inside the house was a complete shit hole and left much to be desired, as four thugs were just relaxing in the kitchen while five were in the living room doing whatever the heck their ****-addled minds thought was interesting.
In front of me was the big bad Black leader of this **** empire, and without hesitation or waiting to hear him out, I began feasting upon everyone in the house, and at first I felt intense pain from their bullets and when their metal bats hit me.
However, as I wasn't human, I could just heal with blood along with using my Fortitude blood magic, and even if it was for just a second, I managed to lessen the **** of their attacks, at least from their bats, as the bullets were still too fast for me.
However, my blood-draining health boost and fortitude helped me enough, along with their own bats and guns, when I took them for myself and started hurting all of them.
"Why is it that the worst blood was the buff man and the best was the Black man?" I asked the last **** member, who was so scared he pissed his pants the second I grabbed his throat.
Of course I knew asking him was pointless, but I still wanted to ask just in case there was an actual reason besides, of course, steroid usage fucking up the body and maybe the Black man never took his **** as the head of his group.
The battle didn't even take that long, as it was at most maybe fifteen minutes, and that was just because after they realized how useless their bullets and attacks were, they tried hiding from me, as I had already blocked all the entrances.
"I wonder what would happen if they jumped through the windows? Who would get them first, me or the thin-bloods?" I once again asked aloud with no one around to answer me, as they were all already dead.
After getting the bomb, I loot the place for everything that I could ever want along with things that would sell well at Trip's shop.
While I was ransacking, I found the money they must have stolen, as it was hidden behind a vent that led to nowhere, but it must have been there to hide their illegal goods from the cops, who weren't even doing anything besides playing games on the boardwalk.
"Ah, damn it! They blasted my clothes full of holes... and all their blood has soaked my outfit completely. " I groaned as I quickly washed myself up and wondered if I could keep a spare pair of clothes with all the other stuff I keep in my dark backpack.
Since I don't want clothes to leave a trail towards, well, me, I sigh as I'm **** to look homeless as I leave the place and tell the group that they can use the house again, which they all seem happy about.
Except for Rosa, who looked horrified once she looked upon me, and I swear above her head I saw a freaking ankh made of pure red that seemed to be telling me something.
Not willing to let this chance pass me by, I look Rosa deep in her eyes, and at first nothing happens. Then suddenly I see her eyes swirl red for a bit before they flash bright red as they sink into a dark red hazy look.
"I hear... and obey," Rosa chanted like a mindless ****. Without hesitation I began to give her some commands, but every time I opened my mouth for any of them, something seemed to be holding me back, and after my 1000th failed attempt, I realized something.
Damn levels! Just like everything in life, anything I wanted from Rosa would have to be a slow and steady race as I gradually **** my will upon her. "You're tired of hanging out with these losers, so you decided to live with me." I told her with a firm voice. "Tired... living... losers..." was all she said, and I'm almost certain she meant this as a jab at me somehow, but I was willing to let it go, as I'd discipline her really well once I finally get full control over her!
Opening my mouth to give her another command, I'm annoyed to find that was the limit as her eyes go back to normal, and as she shakes her head, it seems like she has amnesia for a moment before she rushes into the house with the others.
"Did... did that just work?" I wondered to myself as I just shrugged and left the place as I went to the hospital to get myself some pills along with finishing up my little sightseeing tour, which led me to a blood bag seller who was somehow creepier than anything I've seen since becoming a vampire.
Nice, but I'd rather not get blood from him unless I'm literally about to go feral or dying.
Looking around the place, I eventually found a secret section of the morgue, which led me to where Lily was being kept.
It wasn't that hard, as I was just room hopping and managed to get lucky in finding everything I needed to open the secret door, which led to her, and once she was freed, Lily pounced on some poor man and devoured every last drop of blood from the man.
Just like Rosa, there was a blood ankh over her head, and I just gave her a quick command of wanting to come to my apartment. But unlike Rosa, she was still under my command, so I started adding more commands.
"You find me the most attractive man in the world; helping me gives you the greatest pleasure in the world. You will not go against my allies and will help me get more but stay loyal to me and me alone!" I was really just testing the limits with her, as I don't know anything about Lily other than the fact she was hot and currently weak-willed.
"Ugh. Who... who are you?" Lily asked as innocently as possible. I helped the woman up and tried my best to calm her down a bit, as she was shaking over not having had blood for a long time or because of what she just did to the poor, nervous nurse.

I cleared my throat and then began telling her of how I went on a little scavenger hunt to find her, which led me to a diner where I posed as a health inspector to make some quick cash. Then I found her car, which, of course, I looted, and hoped she'd give me the keys later, as I needed a car more than she did.
"And E wanted me to tell you that he loved you, but he missed his homeland and family, and because of these feelings, he left you." I said with an expectation of some kind of sad emotions, but I swear she just looked relieved and a bit annoyed at the same time.
Now that both of us had nothing left to do in this morgue, Lily said she'd thank me later with a little wink as she turned around and began walking with an unnatural sway in her steps that I just enjoyed as best I could until she was no longer in sight.
The second I left the room, that creepy nurse started complaining about how I ruined his plans or something and how he also wanted to kill the guy himself, and now he'd "Never get the chance to kill Phil now!"
I just shrugged, as I didn't really care, which seemed to anger him even more to the point he said he'd never give me another blood bag again for as long as he lived, and since he was apparently a ghoul, that was quite a long threat.
But I'm still immortal, and there are still many different ways of getting blood for myself, although it would be a bit more difficult to get blood bags, but I'll find a way around that little problem, I'm sure.
With his little victory, the man left to his little cubby once more as I left the morgue with everything I needed and delivered the box of painkillers to Mercurio, who told me he'd help me out later once he got back on his feet.
After that was the bomb, but that just gave me another quest, as some other guy knew where the bomb needed to be planted, and the only person who knew anything was the owner of the local club along with the Vampire Lord of this area.
But that would come tomorrow; as for now, I work on getting Trip to serve under me as I **** him to let me in to his apartment room since he is not only the owner of the pawnshop but also the apartment building as well.
"Become my servant and protect me, and you'll be granted eternal life!" Is what I would have said to him if I were confident he'd agree to the deal, but as I wasn't, I just made him trust me a bit along with giving me a discount and more money when I sell things to him.
Now that night was quickly fading, I went to my room to get ready for my little slumber once more as I tossed my Rolex into my drawer, as I preferred digital watches over classic watches, as well as throwing my destroyed clothes next to my dresser and flopped on my bed.
"Whoever said no rest for the wicked... was... wronggggnnnnn." Was the last thing I said as I fell asleep, but not before turning on my stereo and TV, as I really wanted to see that idiot on the news.
