Chapter 5 by Shibbar Shibbar

A butterfly fluttered by, not a care in the world.

Crossroads

Hopkins stood in the middle of the quiet crossroads. A chilly breeze blew in, fluttering his clothes. It was idyllic, with clear blue skies and colourfull butterflies fluttering in the thin air. If not for what may come, one could think that nothing bad could ever happen.

The path runs north to south, with another path leading east. In addition, there is a pleasure trail leading west in the grass, the path still in progress of being stomped down. There's no real reason to continue heading north, as any further and Hopkins would reach the human hamlets, and goblins are not welcome there, despite how rarely they cause trouble. No need to take risk going someplace when it is not needed.

What's next?
