"Maybe We Should Stream It ?"

"Honestly, I don't know how you put up with her Jeff. You're a saint" said Diane. They were discussing how Jeff had needed to threaten and cajole Debbi into accepting Diane's plans for the 25th anniversary of the founding of the company, not to mention whatever else she might come up with throughout the year. "She is difficult. I only wish she would be more appreciative of all you do on her behalf, helping to raise her profile. It's so selfless of you" Jeff agreed. "Oh, it's nothing really" Diane replied modestly. "The only reward necessary is seeing the boost to team morale and productivity that's produced" she added. "It won't be your only reward though, I'm sure the company will reflect your efforts at the next pay review" Jeff reassured her.

Diane laughed inwardly. Jeff was such a sap and she now had carte blanche to continue to make Debbi look ridiculous whenever the whim took her. A booth with a small stage had already been set up in reception ready for Thursday's event. Diane had made sure it was in full view from the street outside and the lighting crew were due in later today to erect their gear.

"I was thinking that we really ought to stream the event to the branch office and to our customers" Diane suggested. "Eamon is going to be making an important speech and this is a really significant milestone in the company's development after all" she explained convincingly. "Great idea as always from you and it's not as if we don't have the expertise in the company to do it professionally" Jeff replied. "I'll leave it all in your capable hands. Maybe better to leave Debbi out of the loop though ? I can't face another argument !" They both laughed.
