Female PoV Date with Aaron, pt. 2

{if tempAlpha = true}"Ah, I'm certainly sympathetic to that view. Well, societal change is slow and even if the laws change, it can take generations to have any sort of real change. I'm not sure how to fix it all, but me and the rest of the crew have been doing what we can to live in ways counter to what society is here." You raise your eyebrows and inquire as to whether or not he wasn't born here. "Ah no, I was born in Tono. Quite a ways to the south, bit of a weak spot between the planes. Technically there's laws protecting people like me, but again, society is slow to change. What about you, where were you born?" {if Cleric = true}"I was born here in Cyllian; can't say I'm a fan of everything that binds me but not a whole lot I can do on my own."{elseif Rogue = true}Caesar25 needs to write Thurgilla's response in event of her saying 'To be honest, it's all rather irksome. I wish that we weren't so confined by society here'.{endif}{elseif tempBeta = true}"Hmm, I can't say I terribly agree with you there. I'm honestly surprised you're okay with it all, but to each their own I guess." There's a moment of awkward silence before he attempts to break the tension with a joke about fish, which somehow actually works to break the tension, allowing conversation to resume its flow.{elseif tempGamma = true}{if Cleric = true}Aaron looks somewhat sad at your answer, and nods understandingly. However, there's also a spark in his eye, and you hear in your mind {if Intelligence > 4}(you recognize the hand motions for the Message spell) {endif}"Stick with us and we might just be able to do something about that. Can't talk aloud because I don't want to get an angry mob rushing us, but you might mesh pretty well with us." You raise an eyebrow and he simply smiles, as if nothing happened. Seems he's a bit of a revolutionary; you can't say you'd mind a bit of societal upending, but is it worth actually putting action in place?{else}If we do this right no player should ever see this bold text. Use tempGamma for a class specific response (tempDelta is also acceptable if you want multiple class specific responses) and then add an elseif statement before the else. For example, rogue would be elseif = Rogue, and remember, this is only for female characters. Male and hermaphroditic characters need responses directing them to their appropriate chapters.{endif}{endif}

The two of you continue talking, and after a while your drink arrives, in a large mug, almost a bowl. Your eyes just about bulge out of your head at how big it was - you can't say you were expecting it to be so huge. Well, guess you won't need dinner tonight - not with how big this is. You look over at Aaron, whose pineapple hot chocolate - with a slice of pineapple on it, seems surprisingly good. You drink your drink, and slowly sip it, noticing that it has a hint of peppermint in it. Huh, can't say you were expecting that, but it certainly does compliment the drink. As the two of you talk and sip your drinks, the topic turns to war and revolution. As you two drift to historic wars, with him nerding out a bit - you honestly didn't know so many wars existed - eventually a very specific war comes up: the war for independence of the northern kingdoms against the Empire. Apparently there weren't very strong motives involved, aside from simply being far flung from any form of governance. "So, supposing a revolution against the duke here were to break out, or had broken out, what would your response be?"
