Chapter 4 by Rereese7 Rereese7

Should Rachel greet her sister?

"Good morning, sis."

"What's so good about it?"

Rachel sighed softly, knowing that her sister was in one of those moods. She started to walk by when her sister spoke up.

"You know, if you'd grow up and get a job, maybe things would be better and easier around here. For everyone."

Rachel turned, looking at her older sister. Victoria would've been beautiful if it wasn't for the angry scowl. She'd seen pictures on her sister's social media and knew that her face could be soft and kind when she wanted it to.

But this time, she wanted to recoil back and run off. Her sister looked furious, like Rachel had stolen something from her. Rachel wanted to tell her off or apologize or something. But all she could do was think of an excuse.

"You know mom won't let me get a job..." She spoke softly, like a child that had broken their parents' vase. But this just seemed to make Victoria even more angry.

"So what!? Get one and don't tell her then! It's so easy to hide things from her!" She then stopped and did a double take, then smirked. "Well, if you're not her favorite, that is. I'm sure she always wants to know where you're at, huh?"

Rachel wanted to say something back. To cuss at her or tell her where to shove it. She clenched her fists, her brain thinking of a million things to say back that would piss off Victoria even more.

Victoria seemed to notice the clenched fists. She grinned back at her younger sister, crossing her arms over her chest. "What? You about to do something?"

Rachel was already sizing up Victoria, wondering where best to hit her and get away before her 20 year old sister could hit back. Victoria was slender but not quite as much as Rachel. She had a B cup chest and some decent hips but she worked out on a weekly basis. If she didn't have the shirt on, her abs would be just visible enough to know that she doesn't mess around. She'd been in fights before at school and very rarely lost. She'd been known to kick, hence, why her thighs had a good chunk of muscle on them.

All-in-all, Rachel stood a very low chance of successfully beating up her sister. But what really made her want to fight was the fact that if she hit first and Victoria hit back, her mother would get onto Victoria and blame her. Perks of being "mom's favorite". She really wanted to do something.

Fight or Flight?
