Freedonia is a land set somewhere in the near future in what was once the United States of America. The country was founded by a group of free love advocates in the wake of the USA's disbandment. All of society's rules allow and encourage sexual liberation and the exploration of any and all fetishes, public spaces included. Widespread birth control keeps Freedonia's fertility rate close to 0, and any babies born to Freedonian citizens are raised outside of the country's borders (parents may chose to leave Freedonia with their children or use the country's state-of-the-art adoption system). As a rule, no person is born a Freedonian citizen, residency is only achieved through immigration, which is governed by a visa system that only permits people who are sufficiently adventurous, sexually speaking.
