22 year old Max Colins was a C student in high school, a college dropout, and never held a girlfriend for more than a few weeks - and in a last ditch attempt to not completely throw his life away, he joins the LAPD. After scraping through and barely graduating the police academy, he's assigned to Mid-Wilshire, one of the highest-crime areas of Los Angeles. Ready to get used to a life of getting shot at on a regular basis, he starts with very low expectations, and thinks about quitting to go live back with his uncle.
