Chapter 1

Daniel Briggs had always been a man others noticed without quite knowing why. At thirty-five, he carried a quiet, grounded strength—broad-shouldered and muscular, with sun-touched skin that spoke of long hours outdoors in his younger years. His brown hair, now kept a bit shorter for practicality, still fell in slightly tousled waves, softening the sharper lines of his jaw. But it was his blue eyes that defined him—clear, steady, and thoughtful, with a depth that hinted at both resilience and a capacity for warmth. They were the kind of eyes that made people trust him, even when he said very little.

His life, by most measures, was something he had built carefully and proudly. Daniel worked for Fenrir Inc., a rising tech-security firm headquartered in Summer City, where he had steadily climbed the ranks through persistence and an unshakable work ethic. He wasn’t the loudest voice in the room, nor the most naturally charismatic, but he was dependable—the one who stayed late, solved problems others couldn’t, and quietly earned the respect of his superiors. Recently, whispers of a promotion had begun circulating, and though he tried to keep his expectations grounded, a quiet excitement had taken hold of him. It wasn’t just about the title or the pay—it was validation, proof that the years of effort had meant something.
At home, his world felt even fuller. His wife, Monica Briggs, was the center of that warmth—a woman whose beauty was matched by her kindness and fierce loyalty. Their relationship had settled into something deep and enduring, filled with shared glances, private jokes, and a sense of partnership that had weathered time’s challenges. Their daughter, Tonya, now eighteen, stood on the edge of her own future—bright, independent, and just beginning to carve her own path. Daniel often found himself caught between pride and a quiet ache at how quickly she was growing up.
Lately, as he sat at the dinner table or drove home from work, Daniel felt a sense of anticipation threading through his life. The possible promotion, Tonya’s next steps, the steady love he shared with Monica—it all seemed to be building toward something. He didn’t know exactly what the future held, but for the first time in a long while, he allowed himself to feel genuinely excited for it.
Summer City. He thought of the city at this moment as drove through the city. Neon lights and ninety's inspired decor flashing past. Crowds of people living their lives and having fun. He wondered how many of them were on X-Change? X-change the miracle pill that could change someone's gender instantly. Male to female, female to male, and even become trans if they wished. Daniel had never tried it before, but he knew many people who did. It was legal Summer City but Illegal everywhere else in the United States. Aphrodite the AI goddess that managed Summer City watches over it use and handles things like crime, and construction. I have had many conversations with her. As our systems integrated with her security protocols and offered her and the city a independent security wall from outside agitators and other AI's. Including physical keys, that have to be inserted into physical servers to gain access. A human element in a realm of electronic deities. A measure Aphrodite herself agreed upon.
He passed a small group of women, or at least he thought they were. The one in front wore a tight green top that did little to hide her large bust, and a skirt that was practically non-existent, and she had a cute bob cut to top it off. She held a small container of ice cream with a pink spoon in her hand as she laughed at something one of her friends said. Daniel felt a familiar, pleasant warmth spread through him, a quiet admiration for her unapologetic confidence. She looked like she was having fun, living in the moment without reservation.
He watched them as they disappeared into the crowd, then turned his attention back to the road, a faint smile on his face. There was a certain freedom to Summer City—a place where people could be whoever they wanted to be, without fear of judgment. And as he drove on, he couldn't help but feel a small flicker of curiosity, a thought that had been coming more often lately: what would it be like to experience that freedom himself?
As the last of the city lights faded into the rearview mirror, Daniel Briggs turned onto the familiar road that led home. The suburban quiet felt like a different world compared to the neon buzz of Summer City's downtown. He walked into his home with a happy gait, tomorrow was going to be the day when the promotion announced. He felt good about tomorrow, and his boss was speaking well about him. He was confident he had this.
The faint aroma of garlic and herbs clung to the air as Daniel stepped inside. Monica was in the kitchen, humming to herself as she wiped down the counters. She wore a simple apron over her jeans and a soft gray sweater, and her blonde hair was tied back in a loose ponytail.
"Rough day?" she asked without turning around.
"The usual," Daniel replied, hanging up his coat. "But I think it might be a good one tomorrow."
Monica turned, her eyes bright with interest. "The promotion?"
He nodded, leaning against the doorframe. "Jackson pretty much confirmed it. Just waiting for the official word."
A wide smile broke across Monica's face, and she hurried over to wrap her arms around him. "Oh, Daniel! That's wonderful news! We should celebrate."
"How about we wait until it's official?" he said, though he couldn't hide his own grin. "But I was thinking… maybe we could go to dinner this weekend, just you and me..." He smiled and wrapped his arms around his wife lovingly. "…You know, someplace nice."
"I'd love that," Monica said, her head resting against his chest. "Just let me know when."
He kissed her forehead, then pulled back slightly. "Where's Tonya?"
"In her room, as usual. Probably talking to her friends."
"As usual." He joked and head upstairs to get into some casual clothes and out of his business suit. He heard Tonya's music in her room and knocked on her door. "Hey sweetie. I'm home, can I come in?" He called through the door.
"Just a sec!" came her muffled reply. After a few moments, the door swung open. Tonya stood there, her phone still in her hand, her expression a mix of surprise and mild irritation at the interruption.
"What's up, Dad?" she asked, leaning against the doorframe.
"Just wanted to see how your day was," Daniel said, leaning against the opposite wall. "Anything exciting happen at school?"
Tonya rolled her eyes, a gesture she knew always got to him. "School's school, Dad. You know how it is. Tests, drama, the usual."
"Well, as long as you're staying out of trouble," he said, a small smile playing on his lips.
"Always," she replied, though her eyes darted away for a second. "Can I go now? I'm in the middle of something important."
Daniel nodded. "Sure, sweetie. Just wanted to say goodnight."
"Night, Dad," she said, already closing the door before he'd turned to leave.
Daniel stood there for a moment, listening to the lock click into place. He sighed, then headed back downstairs to the living room. Monica was already on the sofa, a book in her lap, looking up at him expectantly. He walks over to her and kiss her lips softly and wrap his arms around her and began to kiss her neck gently. "Have I told you how beautiful you are?"
She closed her eyes, leaning into his touch. "Not today, you haven't."
"Well, you are," he murmured, his breath warm against her skin. "Absolutely beautiful."
Monica smiled, setting her book aside. "You're not so bad yourself, Mr. Briggs."
He chuckled, continuing to pepper her neck with kisses. "I was thinking," he said between kisses, "maybe we could skip dinner this weekend and just… stay in."
Monica's eyes fluttered open, a playful glint in them. "Oh? And what did you have in mind?"
"You," he whispered, capturing her lips in a deep, passionate kiss.
She responded in kind, her arms wrapping around his neck, pulling him closer. For a while, the only sounds in the room were their soft murmurs and the gentle rustle of clothing.
"Upstairs," Monica breathed, her hands tangling in his hair.
Daniel didn't need to be told twice. He scooped her up in his arms, carrying her toward the stairs, their laughter echoing through the quiet house. The world outside, with its promotions and X-Changes and neon lights, seemed to fade away, leaving only the two of them, lost in the warmth of each other's embrace. He began to kiss her large breasts gently through her t-shirt, holding her arms gently above head as he gazed into her eye's. Loving her just as much as he loved her when he married her. One hand came down to lift up the front of her shirt to reveal the white cotton bra underneath. With a wicked grin her began to blow air onto her nipples hidden under the cotton. Teasing his wife and watching as her nipples harden as she writhed her arms still held above her gently.
"Daniel..." Monica's voice was a breathy whisper, her back arching slightly.
He grinned, enjoying her reactions. "Yes, Monica?"
"Don't stop," she pleaded, her eyes dark with desire.
He obliged, leaning down to take one of her hardened nipples into his mouth, suckling gently through the thin fabric. Monica gasped, her hips bucking against him. Daniel could feel his own desire rising, the anticipation of the night ahead building within him. He reached around her back, unhooking her bra with practiced ease, freeing her breasts to his eager touch. He took a moment to admire them—full, round, with dusky nipples that begged for his attention.
"You're perfect," he murmured, before lowering his head to taste her again.
Monica's fingers dug into his shoulders as he lavished attention on her breasts, alternating between gentle licks and firm sucks. The room was filled with her soft moans, music to his ears. He could feel her body responding to his touch, her skin flushed with arousal.
"Daniel, please," she begged, her hips grinding against his.
He raised his head, a smirk playing on his lips. "Please what?"
"I need you," she gasped. "Now."
He tenderly licked one of her nipples making her gasp. "How do you want me to take you, my love?" He asked, as his hands roamed her body, tracing the curve of her hips, the dip of her waist.
Monica's breath hitched, her eyes locked with his. "Hard," she said, her voice barely a whisper. "I want you to take me hard."
Daniel's grin widened, his eyes darkening with desire. "As you wish," he murmured, capturing her lips in another searing kiss.
He stood up, pulling her to her feet with him. With a swift movement, he unbuttoned her jeans, sliding them down her legs along with her panties. Monica kicked them aside, standing before him completely naked. Daniel's eyes roamed over her body, taking in every curve, every dip, every freckle. He reached out, tracing the line of her collarbone with his fingertips, then moving lower, circling her navel before dipping between her legs.
Monica gasped, her legs trembling slightly as he found her wet and ready for him. "Daniel," she moaned, her head falling back.
He positioned himself at her entrance, teasing her with just the tip of his length. "Is this what you want?" he asked, his voice husky with desire.
"Yes," she breathed, her hips bucking against him. He pulled out his hard, large, throbbing manhood and placed it against his wife's entrance. He grabbed her hips roughly teasing her again with the threat of a thrust and then finally he plunged into her hard. Monica let out a guttural moan as he filled her, stretching her in the most delicious way. He set a punishing pace, his hips slapping against hers with each thrust. Monica met him stroke for stroke, her nails digging into his back as she urged him on.
"Harder," she panted, her legs wrapping around his waist, pulling him deeper.
Daniel obliged, driving into her with wild abandon. The room was filled with the sounds of their lovemaking—the slap of skin against skin, their heavy breaths, their moans of pleasure. He could feel her tightening around him, her body tensing as her orgasm approached.
"Take it! Take my cock babe!" He gave her large bubble butt a firm spank, mounted her from behind fucking his wife with abandon. Hoping desperately that Tonya's music was too loud for her to hear her parents going at it like teenagers. His hands took handfuls of his wife's perfect breasts caressing them lovingly as he pounded into her making their bed creak loudly.
Monica buried her face in the pillow to muffle her cries of pleasure. "Don't stop," she gasped, her body trembling.
"I won't," Daniel grunted, his pace relentless. "Not until you come for me."
He reached down, rubbing her clit in time with his thrusts. Monica's body convulsed, her orgasm ripping through her with a **** that left her breathless. Daniel followed her over the edge, his own release washing over him in waves of intense pleasure.
They collapsed onto the bed, their bodies slick with sweat, their hearts racing. Daniel rolled off her, pulling her into his arms. They lay there in silence, their breathing slowly returning to normal.
"I love you," Daniel said, his voice soft.
"I love you too," Monica replied, her head resting on his chest.
They stayed like that for a long time, just holding each other, basking in the afterglow. The house was quiet now, the only sound the distant hum of the city outside.
"Tomorrow's the big day," Monica said, breaking the silence.
Daniel nodded, a sense of contentment washing over him. "Yeah. I have a good feeling about it."
Monica propped herself up on her elbow, looking down at him. He looked at her lovingly, she looked nervous. "Daniel... there is something I want to try. Something I want to do." She said nervously. Daniel looked at her, his expression softening. "What is it, honey? You know you can tell me anything."
Monica took a deep breath, her fingers tracing patterns on his chest. "It's... about X-Change. I want to try it. I want to be a man."
Daniel stared at her, stunned. He had heard about X-Change, of course—who hadn't in Summer City? But the idea of Monica, his wife, the mother of his child, wanting to become a man... it was a lot to process.
"A man?" he repeated, trying to keep the shock out of his voice.
Monica nodded, her eyes searching his. "Just for a little while. I've been thinking about it for a long time, Daniel. I'm just... curious. I want to know what it's like. To feel what you feel, to see the world through your eyes."
Daniel was silent for a long moment, his mind racing. He tried to picture it—Monica as a man. Her features, her mannerisms, all transformed. It was... a strange thought, but not entirely unpleasant.
"I mean you'd make a handsome man but....I mean how long a 24 hours basic? Or like a weeklong bull pill? And I don't know how I'd feel about kissing you as a man unless...." His eye's widening as he figures out the second stage of the conversation. "Oh... you'd want me to..."
"To try it too?" Monica finished for him, her expression hopeful. "Yeah, Daniel. I do. I think... I think it could be fun. An adventure. For us."
He sat up, running a hand through his hair. "Monica, that's... that's a huge step. We're not talking about trying a new restaurant here. We're talking about... changing who we are."
"I know," she said softly. "But it's not permanent. We can always change back. And I just... I have this feeling, Daniel. Like we're on the verge of something new. The promotion, Tonya growing up... maybe this is part of it. Maybe we're supposed to explore this, together."
Daniel looked at her, really looked at her. He saw the excitement in her eyes, the curiosity, the hope. And underneath it all, he saw the woman he loved, the woman he had built a life with. This wasn't some whim, some fleeting fantasy. This was something she had thought about, something she wanted to experience.
And as he sat there, considering her words, a strange thought occurred to him. He had felt that curiosity too, that flicker of interest when he'd seen the group of women in the city. "Alright. We can try it. What pills do you want to get and when?" He leaned forward and kissed his wife, he was still very nervous about this but if his wife wanted to try it. He'd do it. He'd do anything for her.
Monica's face lit up, a wide grin spreading across her features. "Really? Oh, Daniel, you won't regret this! I promise!" She threw her arms around him, kissing him enthusiastically.
When they finally broke apart, she was practically buzzing with excitement. "Okay, so, I was thinking we could start with the 24-hour ones. Just to test the waters, you know? And we could do it this weekend. After your promotion celebration." She paused, a thoughtful expression on her face. "As for the type... I think I'd like to try the 'Bull' pill. Strong, confident, you know? And for you... maybe the 'Bimbo' pill? Just to really experience the full spectrum?"
Daniel couldn't help but chuckle at her enthusiasm. "The 'Bimbo' pill, huh? You really want to see me as a busty bimbo?"
"Well, I've always had a thing for busty women," she teased, winking at him. "And besides, I think you'd make a pretty hot woman."
He shook his head, a grin tugging at his lips. "You're something else, Monica Briggs."
"But you love me," she said, leaning in for another kiss.
"More than you know babe." He kissed her lovingly. He looked into her eyes and saw how much she loved him. He hoped that saw how much he loved her. Eventually they went to sleep in each other's arms.
The next day he arrived at work and Jackson was there to greet him. "How's it going my friend?!" He smiled looking over his boss and friend. "It's going well, Jackson. I'm ready for today." Jackson nodded. "You've earned it, Daniel. Let's go to the conference room." The two walked to the conference room and Daniel sat down across from Jackson. Jackson smiled. "So, let's talk about that promotion."
Daniel leaned forward, his hands clasped on the polished table, the cityscape sprawling behind Jackson like a carpet of glass and steel. "I'm listening."
Jackson let the silence hang for a moment, a small, knowing smile playing on his lips. "The Director of Security role. It's yours, Daniel. The board approved it this morning."
A wave of warmth, pure and exhilarating, washed over Daniel. It was everything he'd worked for. He couldn't stop the grin that spread across his face. "Jackson, that's... that's incredible. Thank you. I won't let you down."
"I know you won't," Jackson said, leaning back in his chair. "But there's a catch. A big one. The final stage of your vetting involves a deep integration with Aphrodite's core systems. Not the public-facing protocols we usually work with. I'm talking about a direct, temporary neural interface."
Daniel's smile faltered. "That's going to be intense...Doesn't she usually conduct those things in dreams?" He asked.
"She does, but you'll still be physically there, in the integration chair. She has to create a unique quantum key for you. And it's a very... personal process. Aphrodite has to get to know you. Deeply. Your fears, your desires, your secrets. Nothing will be off-limits. You'll be completely **** to her." He explained. "Are you prepared for that level of exposure?"
Daniel thought of Monica. He thought of their plan for the weekend. A secret, a shared vulnerability. How different was this, really? It was another kind of trust, another leap of faith. "I am," he said, his voice steady. "Whatever it takes."
Jackson's smile widened. "I was hoping you'd say that. The session is scheduled for tomorrow morning. Nine AM. Lab 7. Don't be late."
"I won't be." Daniel stood, extending his hand. They shook, a new dynamic settling between them. "Congratulations, Director."
"Congratulations to you, too, Jackson. I'm sure you've got something big planned for yourself." Daniel said as he walked out of the conference room, feeling like he was walking on air. He couldn't wait to tell Monica. He couldn't wait to see what the future held.
"Wait. This means an office and a secretary? Everything? Am I taking Old Marlon's office the one across from you? He retired last week right?" Daniel asked with a giddy excitement.
"All of it and yes you're getting the late Marlon's office. And don't call him old. He was a legend. Also Aphrodite's personal choice for your secretary. She's already picked one out for you. She'll be waiting for you on Monday when you officially start the new role."
Daniel's heart hammered against his ribs. An office. A real office, with a view. And a secretary chosen by an AI goddess. The reality of it all was sinking in, and it was intoxicating. Okay great! And Marlon isn't dead, I don't know why you are calling him the late Marlon." He laughed "This is one of the best days of my life."
"It's about to get even better," Jackson said with a wink. "Go celebrate, Daniel. You've earned it."
The rest of the day was a blur. Congratulatory pats on the back, knowing smiles from colleagues, the weight of a new title settling comfortably on his shoulders. He drove home that evening with the windows down, the warm city air a caress against his skin. He felt taller, stronger, like he could see further now. He pulled into the driveway, the house lights glowing warmly in the twilight, and felt a surge of anticipation. He couldn't wait to share the news, to see Monica's face light up.
He swung back Jennifer's desk the CEO's secretary she was on the top floor. "Hey Jennifer! Guess who went up a level?!" He smiled at Monica's best friend from college who he helped to get her job here and one of his best friends too. She had known about the possible promotion.
Jennifer's face, framed by sleek dark red hair, broke into a grin so wide it crinkled the corners of her eyes. "No way! Tell me you got it, Briggs!" She stood up, leaning over her large mahogany desk. "Don't leave me in suspense!"
"I got it, Jen! Director of Security!" Daniel couldn't keep the elation from his voice.
She let out a whoop that drew a few curious glances from the nearby cubicles. "That's what I'm talking about! I knew it! We have to celebrate. You, me, Monica. Drinks on the CEO. Figuratively, of course." She laughed, her eyes sparkling with genuine happiness for him. "Monica is going to lose her mind."
"I'm heading home to tell her right now. But yeah, this weekend. We're definitely celebrating." He paused, a thought striking him. "Hey, did you know anything about Aphrodite picking my secretary?"
Jennifer's expression shifted slightly, a flicker of something knowing and perhaps a little mischievous. "Oh, I heard a whisper. She doesn't just pick them, she grabs them from her temple. Her devotee's experts on X-change and everything. I hear they are insanely beautiful."
"Not as beautiful as your best friend. I heard she's super hot!" Jennifer laughed. "Yeah I hear she is happily married to a stud. Unfortunate for you." They both laughed and hugged, Jennifer smiled up at him. "Thanks for being a great husband to my best friend and being my best friend. If that secretary makes a move on you. I will break her legs." I laughed. "I am sure she will be professional. Oh... and get ready for a surprise this weekend. Monica Has a big surprise between me and her this weekend."
Jennifer’s eyebrow arched, a sly grin spreading across her face. "Oh, a surprise, is it? Does this surprise involve little blue pills and a certain tech CEO's private stash?" She wiggled her eyebrows suggestively.
Daniel felt a warmth creep up his neck, a mix of embarrassment and amusement. "Nothing like that. Just... something new. For us."
"Uh-huh," she said, drawing the word out. "Well, you two have fun with your 'new' thing. Just remember, if you need a third wheel for your celebration, I'm your girl. Or boy. Or... whatever you're into this weekend." Her laughter followed him out of the office and into the elevator.
The elevator doors slid shut, sealing him in the quiet, mirrored space. He watched his reflection, a man on the cusp of everything he'd wanted.
