They lay on their bed, content after having released themselves from the stress of the day.

Sleep came quickly, or so they thought. Their soul leaving the fleshly body, taken by something. A lifeless body left on the bed, to be discovered by the neighbors weeks later.

They feel themselves enter a tunnel, which they travel for an indefinite amount of time.

Time felt foreign, seconds felt like minutes and hours felt like seconds, time twisted and bent.

They were half conscious, maybe they were going insane but they couldn't form real thoughts.

Eventually the light at the end of the tunnel came, and with it a loud cry.

They recognized it, their consciousness returned fully.

A baby's cry.

They couldn't see, eyes still glued stuck by the filth.

They cried and cried, the body was tired and so was the mind.

It didn't take long for them to pass out.
