Virtual Loot

It was late in the day as Amelia walks in to their apartment, taking the eviction warning off the door and looking it over as they throw their bag off to the side, 7 days till they were evicted, they know they need to get a back pay of 5000$ to the landlord by then, and despite the charm he wasn't willing to budge any further. He had been pretty lenient till now, feeling sorry for Amelia, they had been dumped a few weeks ago, fired for an accident they weren't fully to blame for, and their car had been stolen a month ago, police were not helpful with that one at all.

Feeling down and dismayed at another day of job hunting Amelia heads to their room, they needed to relax and distract themselves, their favorite way to do this was with some online games, favoring MMORPGs and shooters they own. not that they had much else left, they had sold their other consoles and games to try and pay the bills, but now all they had was their old laptop, barely able to play some of the games they enjoyed on it.

Entering their room Amelia pauses, on their bed is a black cube, it is 1 foot cubed and looks to be made of what looks like obsidian but perfectly smooth, looking at it Amelia felt they were looking in to a portal.
