A Definitely Not Cliche App That Allows The User To Change People

Oh boy! Yet another app that has magical powers capable of completely rewriting reality and that somehow ends up in mortal hands.
The fantasy developer, floating through the endless void of space and time, knew this was cliche, but was still interested in how it would turn out.
The app he’d developed wasn’t super complicated, but he hoped it would have depth in how its various features interacted with each other, especially in the hands of a more creative user.
The app was called the Type Transition, or TT. Type was short for stereotype, but he didn’t really want to limit himself to just dealing with stereotypes, so he chose a name that was a bit more vague. Plus, the alliteration was important.
Type Transition is an app that allows a user to turn anyone into a stereotype. There are a wide variety of stereotypes across humanity and its media, so this is not as limiting as it sounds. Each person who is stereotyped will usually get one or two additional traits to help keep them fleshed out as an individual and maintain some sense of continuity with their previous selves.
So then, what’s the point of stereotyping someone if they mostly stay the same? Well, stereotypes can be swapped between people, radically changing their personality over the course of three days. Don’t worry, they will rationalize the change to themselves. These swaps can help the user create the perfect partner, or they can create interesting combinations with the additional traits if they are more interested in experimenting with the human condition.
As the user levels up, they will get access to new abilities that allow them to further change and customize their subjects. They will be able to steal and give secondary traits, and even combine them when applicable. Maybe they’ll even be able to combine and alter main stereotypes. Who knows? Certainly not that mythical developer, who is likely going to add these new features as he goes and therefore doesn’t know himself yet!
