In another world, there lies two kingdoms, separated by seven or eight days on horseback.

Amaranthine is the warmer of the two kingdoms, and lies on a grassy valley, surrounded by heavy woods. The King of Amaranthine is Jonathan of House Wayne, a confident man who used to be rather infamous for his tales of sin and debauchery. Some rumors attest that King Jonathan has numerous illegitimate heirs with numerous different women, and some rumors attest that King Jonathan frequently commits not just with his lovely young, recently of age daughter Princess Skylar, but with his parents or his siblings. It is impossible to tell how much of King Jonathan’s exploits are fact, and how much are fiction. House Wayne currently holds the Amaranthine Throne, but the other Amarinthian noble houses all have their own aspirations for the throne, even House Holland, who are the King’s most favored noble house, and they sit in the second most important spot, the Vassal Lordship. Lord Jeremiah, who controlled House Holland until five months ago, has gone missing, and it sounds as if he has been taken and murdered. His wife, the gorgeous and bosomy Lady Danielle, appears distraught, which could indicate that Lord Jeremiah truly is dead. In his absence, his eighteen year old son has taken the mantle, which names Lord Jace as the Vassal Lordship. Some believe that with Prince Sam murdered three years ago, Lord Jace is the one who will inherit the throne should Lord Jonathan pass.

Traveling days north, the woods will eventually start to give way to large open plains, with the foliage lessening until stretches of snow and rock take hold. Viridian was the more expansive of the two kingdoms, castles dotting the lands from the lower plains all the way up into the snow-covered mountains that defined the skyline. A kingdom that had seen more than its fair share of infighting, the people of Viridian are gruff but loyal to a fault. Ruled firmly and capably under House White, Leonard encompassed all aspects of the title, Just. Those due punishments were met with a swift blow while the law-abiding were safely protected under his rule. In fact, as word travels from peasant to peasant, the only thing King Leonard didn't have control over was his own family; and this rumor haunted him ever since it was suggested that his only son Brian hadn't died as a child but rather left his house; no longer able to live until his father's strict laws; though none had found proof of such things. Certainly not the loyal members of House Clark who served their king through two rebellions in the last twenty years successfully. Most eyes looked favorably on the beautiful, capable Lady Juliet, who was rumored to be selected as the next ruler over her cousin, Lord Kenneth...the Craven. A title well earned throughout his years and one the young lord showed no motivation to remove from his honor.

But recently, tensions have risen between these two mighty kingdoms. Some strategists have begun to think that a war might break out, a devastating war that would cripple both kingdoms, no matter who wins.
