The Spirit of Lust

Do you believe in the supernatural? The paranormal?

There are many things in this world that fall out of human understanding. Most of these mysteries have been and will be explained by science before long, but some are a different kind of beast.

The Spirit of Lust is one such mystery.

There are barely any records about it, but its name pops up once every few decades. What is it? How many are there? Is it part of a group of six other spirits to represent the cardinal sins? Is it malevolent or benign? Not enough is known of its nature. What is known, however, are its main goal and its modus-operandi.

The Spirit of Lust takes advantage of the emotionally weak. When a person’s jealousy, anger and regrets reach a point that leaves them open, the Spirit of Lust comes to inhabit their mind, possessing their body and leading the victim to a life of debauchery.

The spirit feeds on the sweet nectar that is the energy produced by sex, and in the same way humans evolved and developed to find easier ways to get their food, the Spirit of Lust’s abilities are suited to make sex a trivial matter to get. It has an incredible amount of power, being able to influence the minds of those around it, and even transform the body of the one it possesses. A person possessed by a Spirit of Lust virtually becomes a sex demi-god at the cost of having the spirit directly manipulate their thoughts.

But it is unknown whether the Spirit of Lust is malevolent or benign. Its goal is to get its host to feed it as much as possible. What will happen once a spirit takes control of a new host? Will they lead them down a path of ruin? Will the host be able to resist? Or could things develop in unexpected ways?

• William Sawyer (Updated with 1000-1500 words a week): The story of a man with terrible luck with women. After he catches his fourth ever girlfriend sleeping with another guy in their new apartment, he despairs over the fact all his relationships have ended the same way: with his partner cheating on him. A powerful spirit takes advantage of his state of weakness and possesses his body, convincing him that the only way to truly earn a woman’s loyalty is to be the absolute best. But is William truly convinced?

This storyline sees our protagonist struggling with his cravings for women, sex and complete loyalty and his deep-rooted desire for love and companionship. As he does, he will start learning that there’s more to the world than it originally seems, and that magic and the supernatural have always been with us.

He has serious troubles talking to people out of fear of being rejected, laughed at, or simply being a nuisance. Despite that, he dislikes being alone. One night, he overhears his sister having sex with her boyfriend and is overcome with a sense of frustration and jealousy. A spirit of lusts takes advantage of this to possess him, an event that would be the catalyst for the drastic changes in his life.

This story focuses on slow character growth as our protagonist goes through life, meets people and experiences new and exciting things. Perhaps one day he’ll be able to make his wildest fantasies come true?
