Among the most enthusiastic colonizers were those "fringe" groups who's beliefs and practices were looked on askance by mainstream society.

Sector 3030Y is perhaps the most interesting result of this trend. Consisting of twelve adjacent star systems in which every planet, moon, and large asteroid was terraformed, the "Pervert Planets", as the Sector is colloquially known, hosted over ten thousand settlements, each dedicated to a different form of sexual "deviancy".

Cut off from the rest of the universe for 200 years by the Great Sub-Cosmic Re-Alignment, these settlements developed into a dazzling and diverse array of societies and polities, from the busty matriarchs of Rusmer, to the ephebophiles of Minnow, to the harem-cloners of Auterot.

Almost universally, what began as mere fetishes have evolved into dogmas and ideologies that dominate cultures completely, creating civilizations unlike those found anywhere else in the universe. This is not to say that the Pervert Planets are culturally stagnant; far from it. Consider the BE Empire; where once this polity sought to spread it's devotion to breast augumentation through rapacious conquest, it know utilizes the gentler tactics of the missionary preacher.

Indeed, the interaction of these assorted dogmas produces many suprises. For example, one would htink that the nude dominatrixes of Sekmet would be bitter enemies of the leather-clad "fem-breakers" of Patrio, and that both would despise the masoch-masters and sado-slaves of Quill. Yet all three polities are close allies, forming the core of the BDSM League, a coalition of over a dozen nations dedicated to the ways of submission and dominance.
