The Perfect Patriarchy

You're invited to a gathering celebrating the rule of men

Chapter 1 by coolusernamehuh coolusernamehuh

As you approach the address your boss gave you, you are greeted by the sight of an old warehouse. You thought that you had to have the wrong location, but you open the front door and peak in anyway just to be sure. Surprisingly, this isn't only the correct address, but it looks like much of the town has gathered here. As you slowly took a seat, you groaned at the situation you got yourself into.

You were a 33 year old male who had been languishing at a dead end job for years. You were 5" 9", short, thinning brown hair, and a big nose. You were about 40 pounds overweight as well. Your skin was pale from never going outside and your social skills had dulled from years of putting work over friends. Life wasn't going the way you had planned.

You had been searching for a new job for months. After a number of dead ends and terrible interviews, you were called out of the blue by a representative from Willis Enterprises. You accepted an interview, then quickly looked the company up. They appeared to be very highly respected and quite profitable. The owner of the company, Wayne Willis, then came on the line to conduct your interview. The way he described the job made it seem too good to be true. Excellent pay, great hours, and many chances to move up.

The only problem was that you'd have to move to a small town out in the middle of nowhere. The owner offered to cover moving costs. With no wife, kids, or family to hold you down, you said "fuck it" and made the move. A week later you were at your desk at Willis Enterprises.

When you got to work you immediately fell in love with your job. After the first week Wayne asked you into his office. He said you were performing well and he was happy to have you on board. He invited you to a gathering that many workers went too each Sunday. You figured it was a religious thing and, being an atheist, you declined. He swore up and down that it didn't have anything to do with religion but he couldn't convince you. The next week Wayne came by your desk and asked you again to attend. He never said it was mandatory, but you got the feeling he would be upset if you said no. Out of politeness, you agreed to participate.

As you took a seat, Wayne waved to you with a huge smile on his face. You figure at worst it's an hour out of your day and a good way to get in with the boss. You had no way of knowing that this meeting, and what would happened afterward, would permanently change your life.
