The Paleolithic Idol

The projector burned brightly in the dark room as it projected various images of stone age art upon the screen.

"Most people view ancient man as crude, animalistic, and stupid but that is far from reality." Doctor Davis stated as I clicked to the next slide, displaying a tapestry of cave art from southern Europe.

"As you can see ancient man was no different then us, they had tools, art, and even religion." Dr. Davis continued as he flipped through the slides, ending on a images of multiple idols and small figuring's from around the world.

The presentation ended after a short aside, and soon the lecture room lights came on. "As we start our new unit I want each of you to... RINGGGG!!!!" The period bell had abruptly interrupted Dr. Davis final remarks as students quickly start to pack their things. "As I was saying, Read chapters 1 and 2 before next class so we can dive quickly into the unit!" Dr. Davis tried to shout over the chatter of people leaving the lecture hall.

Letting out a sigh of slight defeat, Dr. Davis starts to pack his own belongings as he turns off the projector. But before shutting down his laptop he notices a email from the university dean informing him of a new artifact just delivered from Europe that needs to be cataloged into the university's archive.
