The Long Way Home

You awaken somewhat groggily as you sit up on the hard ground beneath you. Taking a quick look around yourself you noticed three things. One, your in the middle of the dessert. Two, your now somehow dressed in your casual cloths. Three, the only thing that can give you any bearing of where you are is a stone path leading forward for you. Getting up you dust yourself off a bit, and check your pockets. Inside is a note that says:

"Welcome Traveler. Follow the path to find me if your interested in seeing this world and its wonders. Rip the note if not. Hope to see you soon."

With the strange note and the path before you, the question is:
