Walk Forward

Putting the note back into your pocket, you decide to do the only thing that makes sense in this twisted world, walk forward. The sun was beating down upon you, and the only shade that you could find was underneath your hands to shield your eyes from the burning sun. You trudge forward in your sneakers for what felt like hours, but was likely only half of one. The roaring heat of the sun was starting to get you, you could see a mirage out in front of you. It was a shimmering pool of water with a few palm trees and an umbrella just like in the cartoons. You knew that it had to be fake, but it was dead ahead on the path anyway, and since you didn't have any other way to know where to go, you decided to just head towards the figment of your imagination. It wasn't like it would make a difference, since it was going to be a mirage anyway. But no, the closer you got, the more real it became. And then you heard the slurping noise.

Rushing forward you find the first person you have seen since waking up in this strange desert. Right there underneath a palm tree was a beach chair. Going to the front of the chair you find find a bald blue midget in a white tank top, a flowery pair of swim shorts, and a pair of shades pulled over their eyes. He took another long slurp of a coconut that he held in his hand before he turned his eyes towards you.

"What up Newbie. Name's Looker, don't wear it."

The little man finished the last of the coconut and tossed it behind him as it disappeared from reality. With a snap of his fingers, a fresh drink fell from the tree above right into his open palm. Looker than took a long hard drink from his coconut before addressing you again.

"What got nothing to say to me?"
