The Great Trait Trading

The Great Swap, Role Exchanger, Swapping Stone. It has many names, but they all have one thing in common; The Hit fast and they leave a trail of chaos in their wake.

People can find that they are addicted to one of their friends former vices, or they have gained something large between their legs.

Each one has a different effect, like the Great Swap transfers people from one body to another. How isn't known, is it merely consciousness or is it an exchange of their souls.

The Role Exchanger is slightly more targeted. Instead of a complete swap, aspects or parts of people are traded instantaneously.

Magical Relics are less widespread, but just as powerful. Intentionally or unintentionally allowing people to trade small or large aspects of their appearance.

The effects can also very in how wide-spread they are.

It could be limited to a single street or it could effect an entire planet, trading traits or bodies of people from one side of the world with someone on the other.

Does it also reality so almost everyone thinks what happened was normal or does it effect everyone but the people who have swapped, leaving the victims to try and figure out what has happened.

Friends trading with their family, colleagues with colleagues, enemies with enemies. There is no limit to what it can change and with who.

Possessions, appearances, personality, anything is fair game.

So what series should it start in and how widespread should it be?

What book series, tv show, anime, manga or game franchise will find a miraculous transformation taking place.

What about the cartoon series RWBY?

Or the anime To Love-Ru?

What about DC or Marvel?

Perhaps some ordinary people find that they are the focus of the swapping?

To prevent narrowing it to a few franchises, Ill leave this part fairly open ended.
