The First Dragon of the Leaf

Asher Haizen had no memory of where he came from or who his parents were. As a child, he was taken from his home by a group of ninja under the command of a man named Orochimaru. He was taken to a lab where they conducted experiments on him and about twenty other children. The experiments were to try to create the ultimate ninja.

There experiment used a serum derived from a plant that allows the bonding of two different types of DNA. They used the genetic material of animals on the children. Making them faster, stronger and a lot more powerful, but a side-effect developed. The children would always turn feral. When this happened, they were sent to a large building in the centre of the lab. In here, the scientists built an artificial forest. They used this to train the children, before and after they were given the animal DNA. It was also used by the ninja guards as a form of entertainment. The failed experiments would be brought there and hunted by them.

When the scientists began their experiments on Asher, they used a special type of genetic material. An egg found by Orochimaru a few years beforehand. They had no idea what kind of creature it was from, but the size of the egg excited them. 1.5 feet high and about a foot in width. When he was injected with the serum, they first gave him the DNA of the plant. This was to test if the plant could help him control himself. All of the egg's genetic material was used, but he never changed. Asher didn't become faster or stronger. Frustrated, the scientists gave him DNA from a tiger, a snake and a wolf, but he still wasn't affected by it. Believing he was a failure, he was sent to the forest. Unknown to the scientists, Asher had changed. He was holding back his abilities.

As Asher waited for his group's turn in the forest, he made friends with one of the other subjects. A girl who was taken when was very young. She couldn't even remember her name. She was very sickly and weak. As they were being led into the forest, Asher made a promise to the girl to protect her.

When all of them were inside, a large metal door closed behind them. One of the ninjas performed a sealing jutsu, before vanishing in a cloud of white smoke. An alarm sounded and the hunt began. Immediately, Asher grabbed the girl and carried her up into a tree. He left her there and dropped to the ground. The moment he landed, a ninja jumped out from behind a bush. Without even facing gio, Asher extended his arm and caught the ninja by the throat and twisted his head 180 degrees. He dropped the body and vanished before it hit the ground. He travelled the area and dispatched three more ninjas.

After a half an hour, Asher heard a scream. Worried that something had happened to the girl, he hurried back to find her. On his way to where he left the girl, Asher came to a clearing. In the centre was a corpse. Running to the body, he found the girl he swore to protect. He knelt beside her and lifted her into his arms. Staring into her face, he felt no sadness or guilt. All he felt was anger. Looking up, he saw ninjas surrounding him. Each one with a kunai in hand.

Asher lay the girl on the ground and stood up. A red aura began to surround his body. He tore his shirt off and roared. Each of the ninjas were surprised by this. He wasn't meant to have abilities like this.

As the aura grew, his body began to shift. Asher's eyes turned red and the pupils became slits. Spikes grew along his spine. Claws extended from his fingertips. A tail grew from his lower back and wings grew from up higher. Baring his teeth, they extended into fangs. Roaring again, Asher leapt at the closest ninja, easily tearing him apart. He killed each one of them and then jumped to the top of a tree and crashed through the ceiling. Extending his wings, he flew away from the lab.

The next morning, he woke up in a bed. Asher remembered nothing of what happened in the lab. The last thing he could recall was finding the girl's body. Asher got up from the bed and got dressed.
