A few years later

It had been a few years since Asher had escaped. He had been living with a an old couple ever since. They had found him outside of their village and had brought him to their house. They treated him as if Asher was their son. Apparently, their real son had been killed about a month prior to his arrival. In return for their hospitality, Asher would do jobs around the village. Everyone began to love him. None of the villagers had any idea what he was. He had feigned amnesia when he first met the old couple. Asher had also defended the village from bandits.

The old couple were well known in the village. Apparently, the man used to be a great hero. He wasn't a ninja, but he saved the village countless times. He called himself Gen. Nobody knew who he really was or where he came from, but he was very respected wherever he went. He was bald with a long white beard. He generally wears a white coat and black shirt and pants. He walks around using a wooden cane. Even in his old age, he was incredibly strong. He was able to fight Asher, even when he wasn't holding back. Gen was a very skilled swordsman. He taught Asher as much as he could. Asher knew there was more to learn, but he didn't have the abilities needed to continue. Even with this amount of training, he could still stand up against the best swordsmen. His skill was pushed further by the reflexes he developed from the animal DNA.

One day, Asher was sent to a neighbouring village for supplies. On his way back, he noticed smoke rising over the treeline. It was coming from the direction of his village. Asher broke into a sprint and kept building speed until all that was visible of him was a blur. In minutes, he arrived and found the place burning. The people he had lived with for the last few years were strewn across the village. All of them dead. Swords and spears embedded in them. A group of bandits were waiting at the other end. It was the same group that had attacked the village many times before.

Seeing his friends lying dead, Asher exploded in rage. He began to change like in the lab. The bandits were terrified. They knew of his strength, but they didn't know he was like this. With inhuman speed, Asher attacked the bandits. He easily dispatched them and ran away from the village. He didn't even stay to find Gen and his wife.

After a few miles, Asher ran out of energy and passed out. When he came to, he found himself lying against a large wall. He stood up and walked along the wall until he came to a path. There was a huge gateway leading into a massive village. Asher knew where he was. Gen had sent him here sometimes for special supply runs. It was The Nearest Hidden Village. But Which one? There were One or Two Nearby....
